    Soul Calibur IV

Soul Calibur IV is a decent fighting game for this generation.  Unfortunately, it is still plagued by, at least what seems to me, the genre-wide issue of multiplayer devolving into a contest to see who can use the cheapest combo over and over again without getting hit.  (Of course, that is the player's fault, mostly.)  And some of the Achievements are RIDICULOUSLY hard to get, if you are worried about that kind of thing.  However, when you look past that the game is actually really fun to play.  And the ability to play as Yoda or Darth Vader's Secret Apprentice is a nice touch.  The Create-A-Soul character customization is very in depth.  However, it is unfortunate that getting the better items is dependent on unlocking the achievements.  And for some reason, it seems impossible to make my characters look the way I want them to and get decent bonuses from equipment.....  maybe that's just me.  If you like fighting games, or have played Soul Calibur games in the past and liked them, you should definitely pick this one up.

Obviously, no game is ...

Soulcalibur IV is the newest game of the perpetually misspelled, weapon based fighting series. The fighting is exactly what you would expect if you have played any other game in the series. It mainly focuses around blocking and parrying different weapons then exploiting your foe in their time of weakness. The wide variety of weapons covers anything from razor sharp katana to obnoxiously large diamond swords. With so many different types of weapons and fighting styles it remains unique from other...
