    The #1 Game of My Childhood 1

    I think I was about eight years old when I got this game for my birthday, and this is the game that introduced me to the world of video games beyond Goldeneye 007, which was the only other game I played.  I love the bright colors, clever (and in the case of Tree Tops, perplexing) level designs, and all the little nooks and crannies to explore.  However, something that has always stood out about this series (or at least the PlayStation originals) is the soundtrack composed by Stewart Copeland.  T...

     Don't you just hate it when, while being interviewed for a television program of some sort, you suddenly turn to stone? Ask anyone in the Dragon Realms and I'm sure they'd respond with a resounding "yes," since the premise of Insomniac's easy-going platformer Spyro the Dragon explores that premise. It all started on what seemed to be just another ordinary day. Some dragons were off taking questions from some interviewers about recent events concerning a brute by the name of Gnasty Norc. ...

    Spyro the Dragon is an energetic and enjoyable game. The bright, cartoon graphics are crisp and attractive, and the gameplay remains enjoyable throughout. The game suffers from a small degree of repetitiveness, but is consistently fun enough that it's not really a huge issue. It's a solid, tightly controlling and easily accessible platformer that just about anyone would enjoy.
