I remembered playing Star Fox on the N64. Always loved the bad lip syncing (their mouths are flapping as fast as a machine gun fires bullets) and the game was actually pretty fun too. But in all due seriousness, it's good to see Fox and his crew back.
I'm occasionally really annoyed at the weird assumptions and lack of experience these guys have with post-SNES Nintendo games. Ryan makes comments as if every Zelda game is identical or only alright (the only really formulaic one was Twilight Princess) and then Jeff gets all annoyed that Star Fox 64 is treated as a revered title. I freaking think this may be the best game on the 64 besides Ocarina. Mario 64 gets way too much praise - it was innovative, sure, and neat for what it was but it was really frustrating, repetitive, and annoyingly broken in many ways. Miyamoto is on record saying that Star Fox 64 is the game he would take on a stranded island if he had to pick just one. It's amazing and Star Fox has never been as good since!
Why is Brad surprised by how this remake is turning out? Doesn't he remember that he just gave five stars to an update of Ocarina?
