A great story put into terrible gameplay.

    Graphics:
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed may have good graphics on the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3, but it falls short on the Wii in almost every aspect, the textures are just absolutely terrible on the objects and the characters. Although the graphics may look fairly decent at times, it looks atrocious. The cutscenes look like they didn't even put any effort into the graphical presentation at all.

    Gameplay:

The only thing saving the gameplay in this version of TFU, is the Wiimote controls and the nunchuk, they are fairly fun to use for combat and give it a different feel than the 360 and PS3's button mashing, although it can sometimes get clunky and using the IR buttons for grabbing objects would have made the controls even better. It was also very dissapointing to see they removed Euphoria from this version completly, ragdoll effects are barely even in the game and only show up occasionally it seems, otherwise all you will get is a death which is fully animated. Camera and AI issues are a big problem and load times are terrible. The Wii version of the game is very linear and the level design is not very good at all.

    Sound:
The voice acting in TFU is very good in all the versions of this game, although Darth Vader should have been voiced by James Earl Jones, it is still not a massive loss and the person who does the voice still does a very good job at it. The sounds of the different force abilities are also fairly good

    Story:
The story in TFU is a lot better than the movies 1,2, and 3, it is much stronger than those movies but at times does get a little bit confusing and stray a little bit to far off of the trilogy and make some things just plain ridiculous at times.

    Conclusion:
The main story only lasts about 5-6 hours at most and there is not much need to play through it again, the duel mode adds a little bit of replayability but not enough to justify purchasing the game. But the game is worth the $6-10 rental fee just for the story alone, but don't go into it expecting an amazing gaming experience as well.
       Final Score: 3/5

A Sad Affair Of Shoveware 0

The Star Wars universe is one that has received a very mixed reception in recent years and while this applies heavily to the high budget, blue screen dependent, prequel movies it also applies to video game series. The Force Unleashed, the latest of Lucasarts Star Wars video game exploits, is truly an intriguing addition to the franchise as Lucasarts really went all out with this one. Havok, Pixelux Entertainment and NaturalMotion had all licenced out their technologies during developmen...
