    Luke Skywalker better start running...

Remember when George Lucas woke up one morning on his inter galactic ranch (well in his mind he must of been in outer space) and he decided to do 3 Star Wars films? Remeber how magnificent they were and how everyone who watched them fell in love with the story and the solid, not-wooden, acting?
    Yeah me neither.
See the first big plus point that goes to the Force Unleashed is that it's a story that is much more appealing visually and with regards to characters than the result of Episodes I,II&III. In saying that the story isn't at all different either. It's standard SW fare. You play a guy who's on one side of the force and through his journeys and quests, his persuasion begin to lean more firmly to one side more than the other, which leads to his actions changing his destiny and his destiny becoming a SW cliché finalé.

You play Starkiller aka that soldier dude who got gutted and sacrificed in The Mist . The story is suppose to bridge th gaps between Ep III and IV. Darth Vader had had an apprentice and well...we all know how these stories end. Starkiller is insanely powerful and for a gamer that's great. For a Star Wars fan or even someone's who siply watched the films and grasped it, it's puzzling. Wasn't Luke suppose to be the big chosen one? Wasn't the fate of the galaxy dependant on him and if he died there was only one other, his sister Leia? Well explain to me this please oh wise Lucasarts!
How is it that Luke has trouble lifting his boots using the force and Starkiller sneezes and wipes out a stormtrooper squad?

You begin the game as Darth Vader and wreak havoc upon Kashyyyk . Soon enough, you'll shift to play as Starkiller, and continue through the rest of the adventure. You'll drop down to only being sort-of destructive, and you'll re-learn the rest of your moves throughout the game. As you defeat enemies, you'll level up and be able to upgrade your abilities -- tossing your lightsaber like a boomerang, wielding the aforementioned Force Lightning. But it doesn't take very long for the shine to come off of the new powers, and soon you realize you're stuck in an average action game with Star Wars trappings that are more superficial than fundamental to the gameplay.

    Why Darthy...why?

The force is very fun to use. But some might find it repetitive. And the saber combat is fun, a little shallow because they demo gives you I think six combos that add a new zest to the attacking. Which is enough to have fun, but not enough for a massive amount of depth, just enough to make you hope that the full game has more. While a little shallow, still great fun. Starkiller has a very cool saber style. Reverse stances are often overlooked but always awesome. The combat flows rather smooth, but it pauses with most hits landed with the lightsaber. Which as I said before. I have no idea if this was intended or is a glitch. Either way it's not bad. Just strange.

The engines do a great job keeping up with the objects in motion, and the demo does focus on the force. Picking up and throwing boxes or enemies, using the push force. And lets not forget, shocking people. That is always fun. now then, the gameplay is strong. But not without its flaws. Yes the framerate is steady. there is no major glitch's. you wont go falling through the floor, or anything. And one thing I can't tell if it is supposed to be there, or if it is a glitch. When in the air press and holding a button, upon hitting an enemy the game hits a still frame. I think it is supposed to be there.

Graphically there was nothing that really bugged me. The character models were excellent though it creeped me out just how exact they were to the voice actors. And whoever they got to play the Empire, next time pay Ian McDiarmaid whatever he wants. Whatever he wants. There is a nit-pick about a certain ugly monster we all know and love, yet don't - The Ranchor. I thought it looked pretty shabby. The one in the first KOTOR game lookedmoreimpressive and dangerously imposing that this one.
Was it the force he shot at the Ranchor or...

I think the major upset for me regarding this game is that I expected it to be so much ore. When the first quick snippet trailer was shown I was blown away, I thoughtthis is new this is gonna be a great star wars game, this is the Force as we've never properly utilised it in games before. And yeah it is different and I can't find another comparison where we've really done the combos for example like in this game. But the trailer lied to me. The more I saw of this game the less excited I got, surely it's suppose to be the other way around? =/
One scene in particular that had me dribbling out of the side of my mouth, (embarassing in a gamestore) was when you used the force to control one of the big SW ships, the cruiser or whatever. That isn't something you can do too often...or more than once. I could easily picture myself spending all day ripping apart destroyers and ship and hurdling them around space and crashing them into stations. Alas that's a fantasy that'll have to remain in my head for a while. HINT HINT LUCASARTS.
It's not a bad game at all, just no twhat it was hyped to be and just wl, bland in a way. Yet I would rather of spent money to see this made into film, than have to watch the horrendous Clone Wars CGI dead pan film.
I'd suggest if you're looking for a truly epic and enjoyable star wars game that hasn't as many faults and oozes a better storyline and response to characters, then the KOTOR games are the way to go. In fact if you're you know, looking for any game, KOTOR is a win.

When I first heard about Star Wars: The Force Unleashed last year, my hopes were high. The pieces seemed to be in place for a Star Wars renaissance of sorts. And while the original story and some of the force powers are entertaining in spurts, the obvious 1990s style gameplay missteps take center stage in the long run, and make The Force Unleashed a game that frustrates more often than it captivates. The most glaring, and perhaps most frustrating things about The Force Unleashed are gameplay flaw...

The Force Unleashed: Sausage Review 0

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed partially reminds me of The Godfather: The Game. I know that is a very odd comparison, but in both games you're basically the character who was behind so much without ever being seen in any of the films. While The Godfather beat you over the head with this feeling, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed is much more subdued and it benefits greatly from this. While The Force Unleashed has a pretty good story, especially compared to the latest Star Wars films, the rest of th...
