Well, the game hasn't even been given a date yet but it looks like the ending is already leaked out.
It's not the final version, and it's still done with the early Maya concept, but the voice acting is there. Also, for some reason they are using the Transformer's Soundtrack...weird. I guess it's filler.
Luckily Kotaku saved it before YouTube took it down due to Blizzard's request.
Enjoy
EDIT: My mistake, I should be thanking the company that takes care of Blizzard's CGI stuff. Thank you "the third floor", enjoy your future employment with Blizzard.

Heart of the Swarm Ending Video Leaked - Great Job Blizzard!
" @Jeffsekai said:It is probably just one of the concepts that precedes the crafting of the final version of the sequence. Still I liked the ending.I assume it would have been touched up but damn, that CGI does not look very great. and I happen to not give a shit about starcraft, so there! "" Why would people want to watch this now? You're just gonna have to wait 3-4 years to see what happens after. "
I'm just curious about when this game takes place
Because if they waited and did it before each expansion then, who knows what will happen in the future, it would suck for Blizzard if god forbid the voice actor for Jim Raynor was tragically mauled to death by squirrels.
The overall storyline has probably already been determined for a long time and even if you loved single player, it isn't exactly a complex story.
If this was the intended ending for Heart of the Swarm, then I gotta say, it was an immensely boring and uninspired conclusion. Again, this whole story is turning out to be quite flat it seems.
" Look at the date on the top right, april 08 2009. Was prolly the original ending to wings, before they changed. "Well, I have not watched hte entire clip nor actually played the game but I know some stuff about how it ends but I doubt they would start doing cinematics if the story wasn't laid out yet
Yikes, I cannot imagine how demoralizing this would be for people working on the game.
That being said, yeah, I watched it.
Anyways, I just picked this up on another site and... I don't think there's much to say about it. Yo, did you play Wings of Liberty? Did you see where that was going? Well it did.
" @Jeffsekai said:It's a concept, so it's not in any finished state at all. ending probably isn't finalized either.I assume it would have been touched up but damn, that CGI does not look very great. and I happen to not give a shit about starcraft, so there! If Heart of the Swarm goes in this sort of direction, I'll be disappointed. Not a fan of this new story and all the focus on Raynor and Kerrigan. Sure, they're cool characters, but the Starcraft universe has so much more to offer than this. SC 1 and Brood War, imo, had some of the best game storylines ever. though the missions may not have been as diverse as the ones in Wings of Liberty, at least all of them progressed the main arcs in some fashion.
Join me as I reminisce about some of the awesome parts of the originals. Starcraft 1 spoilers:
- Tassadar's sacrifice.
- Kerrigan's betrayal.
- The fall of Aiur.
- Destruction of the Overmind
- Raynor's alliance with the protoss.
- Arrival of the UED.
- The dark templars reuniting with the other protoss.
- Kerrigan assuming control of the Zerg.
- Activating the Xel Naga weapon.
- Zeratul's discovery of the hybrid.
- The great backstory in the manual.
- The Zerg actually winning at the end. How often is there an ending this bleak in a game?
- Invading Char.
- Zeratul's flashbacks.
- and uh... fun missions and multiplayer is kick ass. go esports!
Wow. That's actually a great teaser for the game. I have no Idea how it came to the point of what's happening in this video, the only thing you see is what you were promised by the end of Wings and I just want to see more great CGI sequences and great missions out of the next game. If you are afraid it will spoil something don't worry, there is nothing really major in it, except for one thing and it's not explained.
The fact Kotaku even posts this bothers me. I'm fine with posting leaked info about a game that doesn't really tell much, but this is [possibly] the ending of their next game. This is huge. This isn't something you just throw out there years before the game comes out. You don't have to watch it, I know that, but they didn't have to post it either.

"yeah. maybe i'm weird but spoilers don't really have any effect on me besides making me want to see how they got from A to B more. i knew the ending to wings of liberty before i even started the campaign and it was still fun to play though and watch everything unfold.
that said this doesn't make a whole lot of sense knowing a 3rd game is coming after it.

I don't get it, what about this video suggests that it would be from Heart of the Swarm, let alone be the very closing cinematic?
Judging from what happens in it, and the Kerrigan model, and the date which this was made and that this somehow got leaked, it seems like it was an alternate ending for Wings of Liberty that they ditched after making the animatic for.
I somehow doubt that this is the real ending, it's crap. Kerrigan gets her ass saved by Raynor again, good job making Kerrigan into even more of a damsel in distress. I really doubt Blizzard would let something like this slip out. And yes, I know it's the production company that leaked it, but I think they'd keep a tight lid on it. I don't really care anyway, we'll see it when HotS actually comes out.
It was kinda hilarious though, all the characters kinda looked like handpuppets without the lips moving when they talked.
Looks more like a scrapped storyboard for the wings of liberty ending.
Edit: In "Heartly Wings of the Protoss" that is
I watched it cause i don't really mind crappy graphics, besides i'm sure we all knew this was coming... but i gotta say its weird when my expectations are met... i mean expected some sort of surprise, is this for real?? like is it confirmed?
" @Jeffsekai said:Are you mentally retarded? Of course it doesn't look great! " @GunslingerPanda said:No I did not know this." It's using Transformers Soundtrack music. Faaaaake. "...you know production companies use it for filler right? "
I don't think this is gonna be for HotS. Doesn't really seem to jive with the direction WoL was going.
Her taking off at the end of HotS doesn't make much sense.
The Toss chapter will definitely be all about that and I can see Kerrigan dealing with Mengsk in the Zerg campaign but I dunno. That video seems a little more final as to Kerrigans further involvement. She sorta makes it sound like she's leaving for good or something.
Who knows, though, it's hard to tell from that little bit. All I know for sure is i want that damn game now.
" @KaosAngel said:FYI There was a Last Guardian trailer that used music from Blood Simple." @GunslingerPanda said:No I did not know this. "" It's using Transformers Soundtrack music. Faaaaake. "...you know production companies use it for filler right? "
I'll pass on watching. It is kinda like the day the last Harry Potter book came out, people waited in line to get the book and a person drives by, yelling that Snape kills Dumbledore. Kotaku may not be as big as a dick like the person in the video but it sucks that a popular website would release this amongst the readers, news will spread, people will spoil those who tried to stay away. Sigh... sadness.
I'll wait till I play the game and then I'll watch it. Don't mind waiting years for it.
