Updated results of day 1 and 2. Can someone explain to me how July won the first game against MVP? I still can't compute that.
StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty
Game » consists of 10 releases. Released Jul 27, 2010
The first chapter in the StarCraft II trilogy focuses on the struggles of the Terran race, as seen through the eyes of Commander Jim Raynor, leader of the rebel group Raynor's Raiders.
GSL March
I still can't compute MVP in up and down matches." Updated results of day 1 and 2. Can someone explain to me how July won the first game against MVP? I still can't compute that. "
On an unrelated note, I wonder if John ever uses his translation powers for evil. Possible spoilers:
Go Jinro!
Also:
Screw HongUn.Prime. I don't feel he deserves his spot. Top is by far the superior player who has improved a ton while HongUn's still the same cheesy player he was in GSL3. He's screwed next round anyways but at least TOP would have given good games against Jinro. HongUn will probably cheese Jinro and/or get stomped in a macro game. All of his games feel like luck.
" Updated results of day 1 and 2. Can someone explain to me how July won the first game against MVP? I still can't compute that. "MVP just let him do a baneling bust...really was a mistake on his part.
I call MKP curse...if you play him and then win, you'll never make it past Ro16- look at FD, Nestea, MC, MVP- never made it back to Ro8 the season after they won.
Indeed, everything's going wrong but it feels so right. I like how Tastosis are(is?) even freaking out. Good stuff, nice to see some fresh faces moving through. I don't expect any of them to win, but who the hell knows anymore." this is already one of the most interesting seasons. can't wait for the up and down matches. "
Edit: Updated results on more Code A matches. Yeah, it's GSL weekend over here.
Some not so good matches there. Poor moonglade. Tough opponent. And goodbye Squirtle. He may be able to beat MVP with motherships, but he still needs to win games in the GSL.
2nd Edit: WHAT?! Updated Group E of Code S. WHAT?!
By the way, the mass scans looked awesome.
3rd Edit: Updated results of Group F of Code S. Nice to see The Wind move on. And Lyn too. They deserve it.
Now, I am ready for another week of awesome Starcraft II. Go Ret!
Some crazy stuff in the Code A matches from yesterday. That ghost opening vs cloaked banshees was the most awesome thing I have seen in a long time. A totally awesome use of EMP that I totally forgot about right there. Does anyone know if that would work against DTs or observers as well?

In other news, the sky is falling.
This is weird.
The only person left that was in the last 4 last season is Jinro. Think about it:
Love the new booths and headphones - also much more quality on the promos, graphics, and interviews than previous years, though they play the music a little too loud during interviews.
Spoilers from last couple of days:
Sadly Jinro looked like he said in his previous interview - just a little off. Nice to get the one win, but didn't look that great in the other two games.
JulyZerg is a BEAST and I don't think he's even close to his ceiling. His macro and aggression were insane, but he still seems to have some control and strategy problems. I think he gets an easy sweep if he better controls the baneling drops in game 2.
Think MC has to be the favorite from here on out.
Updated the results from the last group of Code S and included the matches for Ro16 for Code S and Code A. I'll update the results for the first day of Code A tomorrow. By the way, HUK!
That second day of Code S looks a bit bad. I mean, in the first day we have Jinro, MC, July, Clide, Nada. In the second day we have Trickster and . . . sanZenith?
I have a feeling the up/down matches will be freakin crazy.
To be fair, given the last games that we've seen from sanZenith and FOXLyn recently that could end up being a pretty damn awesome day.
Also I have to say that I for one am really happy to see not a ton of Terrans advancing far in the GSL Code S this season. I'm tired of seeing 50% TvT in Ro16 and Ro8.
Although I agree with you that the more balanced the no. of players for each race are, the better, I would still prefer having MKP and MVP instead of TheWind and anypro, for example.
Man, with all the players that are being knocked out... I'm going to start hoping for sanZenith as our 5th GSL champion!
D:
Nada and July have to play each other in the round of 8.
I was hoping for that for GSL5 finals. Clash of the Golden Mouse holders.
Updated the results of the first day of Ro16 Code A. In that last match, Huk was so close to lose. I feel like the zerg player should have won that. For a brief moment Huk was in 2-base and zerg in 5-base. And zerg had 3500 / 4000. Well, I am happy for Huk. That guy is so good. I really hope he gets to Code S.
" D:epicness

WOW. SanZenith versus TheWInd produced one of the most unexpectedly epic games ever.
I find it hilarious that a lot of people are saying that it isn't sanZenith winning, but it's the other people making mistakes and he's just getting lucky. He couldn't capitalize on those mistakes unless he was a solid player. They can't admit that san, who at one point blocked his own fast expand in a previous GSL, is actually an amazing player now. He outplayed Nestea, he outplayed Boxer, he outplayed TheWind. He is an incredibly solid Protoss player, not to mention he isn't even a professional, but a person who just plays for fun. I can see him becoming even more amazing if he signs onto a better pro team and actually plays professional (TSL_San or IMSan GO!).
I shall continue to bet on San in my Liquibets until he is out of Code S. Originally I did it as a joke but it has been the most lucrative selection so far.
