    anyone think that once starcraft II comes out this game should just be free for all?

    That would certainly be an awesome move on Blizzards part. I highly doubt that it'll happen though

    would be awesome, except for the fact that one thing that makes battle.net so stable is the fact that it's 10$ for a working cd-key to go online. with a "free for all" attitude, a small group of people with an evil intent could completely ruin every single person on battle.net's gaming experience.

    although, perhaps making the source code for the game available would be awesome, just not the ability for anyone and everyone to get online without a valid cd-key.

    as zeox said, however, it's extremely unlikely to _ever_ happen (except in the very distant future)

    So it's doable

    it would be cool but considering how well starcraft sells even today I would really dount it
