Its the summer sale obviously, but im bummed that theirs none of the fun background stuff from past years. Sure there doing a game themed image each day, but i kinda liked those weird little dudes from all the past sales. Did they scrap them or what?

Cyl and Tappet are mentioned in the trading card FAQ, so I don't think the characters have been retired. They're just not involved with the current sale.
