After hearing about it on the Bomcast and This is Only A Test I threw together a 10 ft. optimized UI for a few games in my steam library using HTML5 which has gamepad support. I made it in a couple of hours and it was a pretty neat learning experience throwing it all together because the gamepad support in HTML5 is pretty new (the spec was last updated a few days ago). If there is interest I'll release instructions and code so that people can make their own.

Release the Krak- Code.

The only reason I'm hesitant is that it required a specific nightly version of firefox to run. I'm not sure if its in the beta release or something that is easier to acquire.

Please do. Whatever it is, it definitely beats my XBMC setup.

@Masijet: @valrog: Here it is. Its very, VERY unpolished and should work with a wired or wireless xbox 360 controller. I have only tested it with a wireless controller so be aware of that.

https://wiki.mozilla.org/GamepadAPI There is a special version of alpha-ish version of firefox you can download there that is required for this to work. I have no idea how this will interact with any current installations of firefox as I am a chrome user.

if it breaks after working the first time. redownload firefox and disable auto updates.

All I want is the Steam interface is to be a little larger so I can actually see text on it on my 55" LCD. Windows is fine, games are fine, Steam is unusable at that size. Haven't been able to find any options to change it, either.

@MB: Have you tried the grid view? It makes the entire list into large logos which are easy to from far away.

@Zidd: Yeah, I was referring mainly to chatting with other users. The text is just way too small to see.
