Give FTL a shot. You'll quickly see what it's all about and see if it's the type of game you want to sink a bunch of time into, if not you can see what there is to see in a couple runs.
Psychonauts is probably the greatest video game ever created.
Wait until they release the fancy version of Skyrim before you get into it.
That's a lot to pick from. I'd go with Braid, Renegade Ops, or Iron Brigade if you're looking for something relatively quick. Skyrim or Saints Row if you want to play something a little bigger/longer.
Hit Twisted Planet it sat in my backlog forever and when I finally got around to playing it, it was a blast. Plus it's pretty short so you can hit the next one soon after.
And for said soon after I recommend checking out Freedom Force. SOOO good.
I vote Condemned underrated game great combat and atomphere I just wish the second game was on Steam and I wish they made a third one.
If you like open world games, skip Saints Row 2 and go straight to The Third. The story is not that important, the game's prolog kinda gives you a idea of it.
And, of course, its the REAL Game of the Year 2011, no matter what people tell you.
Saints Row: The Third.
Only answer. What are you doing right now that you aren't playing it.
Thiiiiis. Right now. You can try SR2, if you like, but you may or may not even be able to play it. The PC port is some garbage. I could never get it to run well even after trying all the fixes I could find.
Condemned and it's sequel were two of my favorite games on the 360. If you like horror, or beating the shit out of homeless people with 2x4s, play that.
I'd do all of the story based games first. FTL isn't an item that should be on a backlog and I don't know why people voted for it. It is something that you can play for an hour here or there whenever you feel like it. A lot of other games on your list are like that too, such as Spelunky, Dustforce, and Bit Trip Runner. I'd go with Gone Home first. That thing is like two hours and you can cross it off quickly. Then I would do Braid because that is probably the best game on your list anyway. Then do whatever people voted.
I voted Cave Story because it's an amazing platformer/shooter.
Psychonauts is also a game you should really play..
FTL is kinda a weird one to recommend as a game to "play through". That game can be as long or as short as you want. You can beat that game (see to the ending) in a relatively short amount of time, but do you want to try again after beating it? Increase the difficulty? Try a different ship layout?
Ticket to Ride is just a video game adaptation of a board game. I dunno how or why you'd play that outside of playing with friends on a game night or something.
Gone Home is pretty short (about two hours) so I would probably recommend that one first. I also really liked it so it's a bit easy for me to recommend too.
Just as a heads up: the Saints Row 2 PC port is, like, beyond busted at this point, so maybe boot that one up for 5-10 minutes one day and even see if it works for you; you might get to cross that one off the list for free.
BINARY DOMAIN!
