if you've seen Wong's Gamestop NY videos it's pretty brutal... and with the rumored fights against other countries' champion, i would rather wait til EVO 09 to see some high calibur matches
"if you've seen Wong's Gamestop NY videos it's pretty brutal... and with the rumored fights against other countries' champion, i would rather wait til EVO 09 to see some high calibur matches"I can't wait for Evo either but you know some of these guys are going to Evo anyway so consider it a nice preview for the main event.
Don't exactly understand why he was invited (since he lost out in his nationals) other than Capcom needed somebody to give them credibility. Apparently they got a food drive and a bunch of other side stuff planned as well; bring canned food if you're going.
I am planning on being there since I live near the area, who else will be going? StaticFalconar, thanks for the update, I'll bring my donations as well.
So uh, i went, and now after a slow long wait of uploading all my shit to youtube, here they are, enjoy.
"where you the dude with the video capture on your iPhone?"Nah, I captured this using video mode for my camera, there was a guy to the left of me that used an Iphone to capture the match though. I was the dumb ass that didn't catch a T-shirt thrown right at me since I was busy checking battery life and space on my camera.
"REDRUN said:then I was the dude to the right you then. LOL"where you the dude with the video capture on your iPhone?"Nah, I captured this using video mode for my camera, there was a guy to the left of me that used an Iphone to capture the match though. WOW. Makes me loose all of the confidence I once had in thinking I was a "decent player."
Those guys were ridiculous.
Yeah, speaking of Rufus, watching the final U.S. battle between Mike Ross (E. Honda) and Justin Wong (Rufus) brought back nightmares for me.
I got knocked-out of the Backbone/Sirlin/GameSpot Street Fighter IV Tournament last year by Jeff Nguy (playing Rufus and won the Tourney), I was playing E. Honda. I was just 3 opponents away from the top too :'( This was with the Japanese Arcade Version, before the Console Release came-out.
I'm in this pic on Seth Kill's Blog: http://www.capcom-unity.com/s-kill/gallery/view_gallery.one?pid=38921421¤t_nav=0
Anyway, now-a-days, I play a shit-ton of Rufus! :p
Lastly, did anyone else get Yoshi Ono's Autograph? I did, right on the front of my Collectors Edition Game Case, right next to Seth's! :D Maybe I'll post a pic of it later... hella stoked about it!
"gotta hate rufus. I don't even care about north american pride, if you play rufus, fuck off."this is coming form the guy who also posted:
Makes me wanna hurl my controller at a wall and snap my cock off.
