I've got a 360 Hori stick and then the stock headset. if I try to plug the headset into the hori stick, though, it just kinda falls out. it's too loose.
 
is there a different kind of headset that will work properly with a stick that isn't super expensive?

Yeah they're pretty decent, you of course have to charge them from time to time but it's no biggie. It's definitely good since you don't have to be tethered to your arcade stick.

I have a plantronics one from amazon. Much better than the stock one the 360 comes with, those break so easily. 

I hate using my wired headset with my arcade stick.  I always use my wireless headset when ever I play Street Fighter.

Who the hell talks while playing Street Fighter IV, anyway?
