Brad Shoemaker played some of it on his extra life stream he seems pretty positive on it, talking not just streaming the first 2 hours like many others did since it gets better deeper or something like that? I think they have a QL incoming>??

I'm really not excited at all. the humor turns me off and a fir amount of reviews seem to mention that. Even though gameplay makes up for it, there have been too many of these types of games lately.

I love these devs too. Shame.

Glad to see it's reviewing well, while I'm not huge on a lot of the humour we've seen early on and hearing about stuff like them being able to stay on top of "memes" and such I loved the vibrant look of the game and its gameplay. Definitely going to pick it up when I eventually get an Xbone.

I was totally ready to let this game pass without a purchase. However after reading a few of those reviews I ended up hitting buy on my phone and it should be pre-loaded on my Xbox One right about now.

Just the humor and Douchie McBrotag main character make me want to stay far from this game. Got a feeling that this will tank, regardless of reviews.

I like the look of the game, but the gameplay looks like something I would get tired of pretty quickly. Also, I feel like I'm 'too old' for the humour and style or something (I'm 30).

The humor has looked a lot like Saints Row 3 and 4's.... which most people here probably love... I don't get the hate.

Anyways though, reviews sound awesome and I'm excited!

@subwayd: Apparently you make one weak game and you aren't any good. Also, a Xbox exclusive from a company that's been Sony exclusive forever probably caused backlash. I too have always been excited for this game. Always has looked fun.

It's not that it's an Insomniac game and it's not that it's an exclusive, like so many people seem to think when this game gets roughed up a little bit.

There was a lot of gameplay shown that soured a huge group of people on it. It had a wicked reveal, but they made the mistake of showing it before the movement was perfected and, as a result, people were turned off by it. Throw some iffy humour on top of there and it's not unreasonable to think that people would be turned off by it.

I'm still not going to get this despite having a Xbox One, but I'm glad (though also surprised) that it's getting good reviews. I firmly believe I would hate this game (regardless of actual gameplay) simply due to its contrived cheesiness. That said, to each their own, and I'm pleased others are into this.

The game looks good, and it'll probably be a lot of fun but it seems like something I'll get bored of pretty quickly. The game's look, plus how you move around makes me think of Jet Set Radio, and we're probably not getting another one of those. So as a guy that wants another Jet Set game, I'm very happy to see it's getting good reviews.

Saint's Row 3 and 4 are known for extremely absurd humor more than anything else, which we haven't really seen out of Sunset Overdrive.

Anyways, I think I'll buy a xbone in December. Some really appealing games, and the Halo Collection.

It feels like the E3 demo/slice was just not that great which caused worry but that is how some games go where devs have to cludge together a demo with odd requirements.

And it feels like after all the "serus biznss" with so many other shooters, having a highly arcadey one is very welcomed.

Very cool, now I'm glad I took a leap with the Sunset bundle (just a week too early with them drops).

The gameplay sounds interesting, but man, the humor and tone are just awful. I don't think I could play it without getting annoyed and turning it off.

I don't even own an Xbox One, but I'm glad to see that this game turned out well. I'm looking forward to playing this one eventually.

This paired with the 50 dollar discount on Xbox One Bundles over the next few months is really tempting.

I know it's selfish and petty, but I hope this doesn't mean that Insomniac will become an Xbox only brand. Ratchet and Clank remains my favorite game series of all time, and I need me some Insomniac games. Just don't know if I love them enough to buy a whole other console.

I had a sneaky good feeling about this game for awhile. Every time I watched it I felt like it looked fun. Now I'm glad to see that it's fun to play. I might make this my first digital game purchase just so I can get into it tonight instead of waiting for UPS tomorrow.

Seems neat. I'm looking to buy an XB1. The positive words about the game justify me getting the sweet white XB1.

Just read that XB1 (including bundles) is only $349 through the end of the year, starting November 2nd. Looks like I'm waiting til next week. Damn good deal. Basically less than $300 for the hardware because this is a game I would buy anyway. Competition is great.

Yep. Strong reviews, great style, that boss fight in the quick look seemed like it was pretty great. Throw in a price drop and a white console that comes with the bundle? Time to dive into the next generation of video game playing.

Man this and the price drop makes me really want a XBone, if I didn't have to have my car repaired I would probably get one. Perhaps it will release on PC some day.
