Jump like an Egyptian
Straying from the norm
Super Mario Land was a bit different from the other Mario games at the time it was released. While it mostly features the normal Mario platforming gameplay, it also features several Shoot-'Em-Up levels, all which are very enjoyable. The setting is also different, no Bowser, stone castles or flying Koopa shells are in sight.Mario perseveres
The platforming is still very solid and thoroughly enjoyable, though with a quite different gravity feel to it compared to the "normal" Mario games. While some areas surely will steal a lot of your lives, you will have plenty to spare due to a low overall difficulty and a generous bonus game.Pros & Cons
+ Thoroughly solid platforming+ Enjoyable Shoot-'Em-Up levels
- Not challenging enough
