[Update] Rumor no more! Mr McMillen confirms that the Mr Minecraft will be in Super Meat Boy PC.
 

 A twitter stalker just sent us a hot tip. It looks like Team Meat (Super Meat Boy) has been chatting up the creator of Notch (Minecraft) with some public tweets, and Notch has given Team Meat permission to use Mr. Minecraft in the PC version of Super Meat Boy. I've contacted Edmund McMillen for comment on this, and I haven't heard back yet. I'll let you know if we land some confirmation.

This game keeps getting more awesome by the minute ! I'm waiting for the PC version too .. can't wait.

Since I read about it I've been thinking of ways he could be implemented. Breaking blocks out of walls, spawning a block below the character mid jump, or maybe combine the two and break out a block then carry it somewhere else. Combining SMB with something like Minecraft sounds totally game-breaking to me. In something like SMB though, "game-breaking" means "totally awesome".

I think I remember reading somewhere that there were going to be special unlockable characters for each platform (like soul calibur 2).  The Minecraft dude seems like the best pc-exclusive candidate for super meat boy.  I imagine his special power would be something like putting those temporary blocks down in a level so you could make bridges and stuff over obstacles. 

Neat. I plan on getting the PC version once there's a discount for it.

At least that's what i thought at first, and got a bit dissapointed when i saw that wasn't the case. But then i saw that it was for Super Meat Boy and became happy again.

  Oh fuck I hope his special move is like Solomon's Key!

Well I caved in and bought the game on 360, but I can imagine this being dirt cheap at some point on steam so I'll just wait for that fateful day.

It's a shame that the actual game behind SMB is boring as hell.

Goddamit, can't developers release the game on PC at the same time as consoles? I can't wait to play Super Meat Boy...
