I've mainly been working on Cody and Sagat as my main characters to play but would really like to add a charge character to my rotation of characters. With that said, is there a good introductory charge character that I could work with or does it not really matter? I'm leaning slightly towards Balrog and Vega intrigues me with his Ultra 2.

Best Charge Character to Start Out With
I would NOT recommend Vega, i've been playing since forever and I still can't figure out how that slimey bastard works.
Guile some people might have issues with, i'd say Balrog or Honda, depending on how much you like throws. Maybe some Blanka. Anyone basicly but Vega.
Deejay is a very good starting point, he has great moves that aren't too difficult to pull off and his game on the whole is very "shoto-like" in mentality. Blanka's a solid choice as his game revolves much much less around execution and more about mind games. Honda's simillar though slightly more execution heavy...but not by much.
" Balrog or Deejay "Agreed. Balrog is pretty straight forward in strategy and can do heavy damage when you land your attacks. He has also a solid defensive game, so he's fairly forgiving, as you don't have to constantly be attacking. I main him, and love him.
Dee Jay is another good one as he's also pretty straight forward (score a knock down, engage his awesome cross-up game) and because he has a projectile and cross up game, so he may be more in your comfort zone.
Blanka. Since a lot of people online don't know what to do against him so you can do anything and win basically.
Being a Vega player, I'd say don't lean towards him if you're just starting out. He can take quite a while to get a handle of.
Instead, go with DeeJay or Balrog. DeeJay has a very good all around game with some simple combos and easy to use moves, and Balrog is one of the most inherently strong characters in the game.
Balrog is probably the way to go, though I personally like Bison the best. Great normals, easy to combo into scissors, the SSF4 version psycho crusher is actually useful now, headstomps/dev rev/empty dev into throw for shenanigans, EX scissors and ultra 2 to keep fireball spammers at bay...pretty damn good, if ya ask me.
use chun-li with a kikosho ultra. she has a lot of effective normal moves and her charge attacks more of support her normal moves rather than be main attacks to damage the opponent. and her kikosho ultra is easy to perform. :)
