The Syndicate franchise is set in a dystopian future where mega-corporations called syndicates have altogether replaced the government, and enforce their rule with merciless, cybernetically-enhanced soldiers known as Agents.
I don't like that idea too much. But then I really love how badly games explained themselves in the olden days. I realize that doesn't make them better and certainly not more suitable for a wider audience but it gave you a feeling of excitement when you were dabbling in your new game, trying to figure things out.
Wish I'd saved the CVG article where Syndicate was introduced along with background material, like how there was meant to be animals and mothers pushing prams, and children on the streets. I'm all for this.
I would also like a real new Hired Guns game. Would settle for a re-release of the old one.
Coooool, more open world games instead of revisioning the original's gameplay, which would actually turn out to be quite a breath of fresh air this generation.
Been looking for some Blade Runner-like games lately. Seems this and Prey 2 want to make me happy. It's a shame there's nothing to make me happy in the meantime.
