    Worst tales games

Rewind back to 2003, Tales of Synphonia was released on the GameCube and was haled as one of the best games on the Cube. Thanks to its sharp graphics, Revolutionary and Unique Combat system, Good story, and intresting characters. Now 5 years later, the sequel hits the Wii, and boy does it do the opposite of what made the orginal good. The story takes place 2 years after the events the 1 game. You play as Emil, one of the worst characters out there. He’s whiny, spinless, and overall, he’s gamings pussy. He’s such a pussy, he makes just about every RPG character look good, hell, he makes Raiden from Metal Gear look bad-ass. It seems that Mr. Pussy get’s his parants killed By Lloyd Erwin, the cool character you wish you could play as through the whole. When he gets attacked by a monster the next day, he’s save by a girl name Marta, One of the most Cleche RPG characters of all time. Emil decides to join her to save the world. The story is easily the worst the Tales games has had. The writing cheesy, stupid, and just plain bad, the characters are too cheche, and the story is just too generic. Yeah, it’s cool to see the original characters from Tales of Synphonia, but when the story is this boring, it’s not worth it. The dezin and gameplay also feels way to familiar. Your basicly go to dungon, beat enemies, and  fight the boss. That’s it, And if I want to do that, I can go play Zelda since that game is much better. Perhaps the biggest disappointment is that the gameplay is actually pretty fun, the only real thing that keeps this game from suck dom is the combat. It’s the Tales of Vasperia style of combat. Your basic in a 3-D plain fighting monsters. It’s fun and can be a little challenging. You can even play with 4 friends like Tales of Veperia. You can also capture monsters, but the prosess is to agrivating and adds little to the experience. The game also allows you to solve simple puzzles with the Wiimote, but that’s it you can do with it. Nothing else. You can asine attack to the Wiimote, but you can still asine them to buttons, which makes kind it pointless. The games saving grace is the combat, and that’s all that’s going for it. The capture of monsters is agrivating and there are poor Wiimote controls. Possibly the worst part of Dawn of the New World is its presentations. Character models look good, but everything else is bad. The graphics looks like a Gamecube game. I know this is the Wii, but it has been 2 years since the consule came out, and people are expecting more from the system. Yes I know, this is a 3 party developer, but Sonic and the Secret Rings had good graphics and that was made by SEGA. The levels are also the same places from the 1 game, just with different weather effects. It’s cheap. The audio is pretty cheap as the music is music from Tales of Synphonia just either re-mixed or redone. The voice acting…. Is at best Mediocer. Some of it’s pretty good, and some of it is really bad(I’m looking at you Mr. Pussy and his girlfriend). It’s disappointing that a game that was said to be a sequel to the GameCubes RPG hit is a big disappointing. Dawn of the New World just too generic. If you’re a fan of the 1 game, It’s possibly worth a rental, but mostly ignore it. It feels like Disney sequel crossed with a Final Fantisy 7 sequel, It has the characters from the 1 game, but lacks the charm thanks to a bland story, boring and horrible new characters, washed out look, and even bad music.

ToS: DATNW: A Good RPG for a system that lacks them. 0

I was riding high on the wings of Tales of Vesperia back in the summer. An exception RPG on the 360.  I had heard about this game, but never seen it in my local stores, in fact did not even know it was out until February. So when I found it at my Best Buy I snagged it. $40 brand new for an RPG. I was a little nervous, this game had no hype, no advertising, and I was buying it at a discount price. Lets just say I was very surprised. I may have never given this game a chance if my 360 was not in T...

ToS:DotNW- A worthy Tales game to hold you before Tales of Graces 0

I have played many of the Tales games but this game is not as great as the mothership titles but a good game. The battle system is the DSLMBS (Dimension Stride Linear Motion Battle System) and has the Elemental Grid as a new battle concept which is the key to recruiting monsters. You can recruit up to 200 monsters and is okay for a first try. if improved, I would like to see the monster system again. The game takes place 2 years after the original. Everything is in turmoil and there is a war be...
