Tekken is still tons of fun, but if you don't already have it

Tekken 5: DR appeared on the Playstation Network last year, right before Christmas, and a pretty hefty price tag of $19.99, and is currently the most expensive item on the store. For those who have no clue what seperates this from the other ports is that this is the Complete Arcade version, and only has the arcade features. So for those of you who liked that Devil Jin mini-game on Tekken 5 for PS2, or liked the Bowling game on the PSP version, none of that will be found here.

What is here, however, is Arcade Mode, Ghost Battles(which new ghosts can be downloaded online), VS. Battle, Gallery, and Options. Pretty basic stuff overall. There is also a new character you can play as, which is Jinpachi Mishima(aka, that hard as hell boss that shoots flames out of his stomache). Jinpachi is really a bad character and it seems like Namco just tossed him in there just to have SOMETHING new.

The Gameplay to Tekken itself is flawless and still as fun as it's always been. It might not be as sophisticated and technical as Virtua Fighter, but its still a fantastic game that can be picked up and played by anyone at first.

The Graphics are still the same. The 1080p boost is certainly welcome and looks really good, but now that the PS2 games can be upgraded due to the last update, you might just wanna buy this game on store shelves right now if you desire it.

    Overall: 8.3/10
