Extraterrestrials appear in many video games in a variety of styles. Sometimes they're evil, sometimes they're benevolent, and sometimes they're very similar to humans.
Amygdalans are the warriors and shadow knights that serve Cazic-Thule in the Plane of Fear. These terrifying beasts have the head of a nautilus and tower above even the tallest mortals.
A creature from the Half-life series, it hangs from a ceiling. From there, it lowers its tongue, hoping to catch anything and pull it up to be eaten.
While essentially just a floating head with a bunch of eyes, the beholder is a classic Dungeons & Dragons Monster.
Bloopers are squid-like creatures that are usually white. They are usually seen underwater and attack enemies by chasing them and trying to catch them.

Aquatic crustacean lifeform.
A gigantic dweller of the deep; this creature has been featured in many video games, movies, stories, and legends. Beware, when a giant squid is near, for death (or fun) follows.
Illithids or mind flayers are monsters originating from D&D who use their psychic powers to shatter their foes' minds. Some become their thralls while others are simply a snack as they crack open their skulls and feast on their brains.
Jellyfish are ocean dwelling animals with a mushroom like top and tentacle like cilia on the bottom. They can be translucent or transparent.
The Lambent are Immulsion-infected Locusts that glow and grow tentacles. They begin to attack the regular Locusts and explode after being killed. The Lambent are instinct-driven and only care about one thing: killing all other life forms.
Las Plagas are parasites that take over humans and other animals, turning them into zombie-like monsters. First introduced in Resident Evil 4, they have also appeared in several other games in the franchise.
The Las Plagas-infected villagers from Resident Evil 5. "Majini" is a Swahili or Zigula word for "evil spirit". "Majini" comes from the swahili word "Jini" and as such Majini is the plural form of the word Jini.
A recurring enemy in the Final Fantasy series, famous for its status-inflicting Bad Breath attack.
Genetically evolved humans, animals or aliens.
Big, floating creatures native to Vvardenfell. The male netch is called Bull, while the female is called Betty.
Amphibious floating creature with a large brain. Doesn't like Duke Nukem at all.
Aquatic creatures with eight tentacles covered with suction cups. They often appear as boss enemies.
A term referring to those obsessed with a specific field of interest, especially anime and manga.
The floating farm unit that provides supply for the sprawling Zerg army in the StarCraft universe.
The Progenitor Virus formed the foundation of the Umbrella Corporation. The very first Virus discovered by Umbrella, it preceded and formed the basis for other Viral Agents, including the T-Virus.
The Roadkill Rodneys are one-wheeled robots with electric tendrils that are used by the Foot Clan.
Tentacle Terrors, and Tentacle Tormentors, are monsters from the EverQuest franchise.
In Resident Evil 5, Uroboros is an adaptation of the Las Plagas parasite.
An alien species from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series.
A video game protagonist's enemies come from more than just the Animal and Mineral kingdoms. P-O'd plants have been battled by everyone from plumbers to the undead.
