    The Black Bass is a fishing simulator for the Famicom and MSX. It is not to be confused with the American NES game The Black Bass, which is actually the sequel to this game.

    Overview

    A fishing simulation game from Hot-B developed for the Famicom. The goal of the game is to fish as many black bass from a lake as is possible in a 24 hour time limit. The player does this by choosing a lure, taking their boat out to a point on the lake, casting their line and hooking as many fish as possible without breaking the line before moving elsewhere and repeating the process.

    The game was followed by a sequel, The Black Bass II, which was localized in the US as The Black Bass due to the fact that this game, the first, never left Japan. Subsequently, the two games are occasionally confused for one another.
