    Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

Elder Scrolls IV:Oblivion is one of the best games I have ever played. I do not normally like role playing games, but this is no average role paying game. It is more like a cross between GTA and Lord of the Rings. The wide open gameplay is so incredible. The settings range from a grimy city to mysterious elven ruins. The graphics also do a great job of portraying these regions to make them look almost life-like. The character models and armor are also ver nice. The only problem with the graphics is that some of the faces of characters look very "off" and there is dramatic "pop-in."

The gameplay, not something that most RPGs are known for is also very fun. This is because it is in real time. You can attack, heavy attack, jump, block, and cast magical spells whenever you want. Speaking of magical spells, some of them seem like gimics, but electrocuting a scamp with a shock spell and seeing him fly into the air is immensly satisfying. There are many different ways to play the game too. The first character I made was an all out brawler who beat people down with his extreme strength and he was fun to play for a while but his one-sideness made the game become more repetative. The character I am on now is a "spellsword" who is great at magic and attack. This well rounded character is much more engaging to play. It is also possible to play as more of a stealth character too. I only have a few problems with this game that keep it from getting 5 stars. One is that it gets repetative. Another is the extreme "pop-in" and the third is that it will suck up all of your time. This game has at least 60 hours of gameplay, probably more.

Enter Cyrodiil... after setting aside 200 hours of your time 0

Oblivion is the fourth edition to the Elder Scrolls series, a franchise of role playing games developed by Bethesda that have risen to fame for allowing players to embark on an epic journey and become the character they want to become. Even years after its release, Oblivion is an amazing adventure full of surprises, mysteries, and interesting locations that one could easily spend up to 200 hours playing it .  That's not good, is it? The main quest line in Oblivion follows your character as he or...

A stunningly beautiful game, hindered by the stupidest mistakes. 0

The first thing that strikes you when you start this game up is that it’s a pretty big one. Oblivion’s location of Cyrodiil is big... Huge. And not to mention diverse. Without the in-game map you’d almost definitely lose your bearings as soon as you so much as changed direction and your jaw is very liable to fall of at the first sight of the environment from the very moment you find the exit to the sewers, where the story starts; mountains, forests and lakes – all in the same vista. It is so...
