Enter the Shivering Isles, the lands ruled by the Daedric Prince of Madness, Sheogorath. Battle your way through the twisted landscape, become the champion of Sheogorath, and help save the isles from the destructive Greymarch.
I think it's definitely worth it. I've spent upwards of 15 hours in the Shivering Isles so it's basically another game for me. I also love how much crazier they went with the environment. It reminds me a lot of Morrowind's environment actually.
I realize this is on an old topic, but I think it's definitely worth it. Oblivion is my all-time favorite game, and this expansion is amazing. Like Dr. Feelgood38 said, the environments are beautiful and a nice change of pace, plus the main quest is a blast. Pick it up.
I got this free with my Game of the year edition. Haven't ventured into it yet because I haven't spent a lot of time in normal Oblivion but if you guys recommend it so much I'll definitely try and get to this when I get my 360 back.
I have no Idea if it's worth it or not, since I don't even know what it specifically adds to the game.
I've bought the Game of the Year edition for the PS3 which includes this expansion, and although I've clocked a fair amount of hours into the game, I've not actually been pursuing any main story-line.
Basically, you can get value out of Oblivion even though you're just dicking around :-)

The Shivering Isles quest is loads of fun. Also, it has a really cool game world.
