The follow-up to Ocarina of Time sees the series stalwart Link embark on a journey to save the land of Termina from being crushed by the moon in three days. To defeat the Skull Kid, Link has to live the same three days over and over again.
Sweet, why bother making original games, right nintendo? I can't believe that the games industry has caught up with hollywood's retarded remake obsession like 60 years earlier in it's lifespan.
Sometimes I wonder if gamers get tired to being enticed to repurchase the same games they've bought before, but then I remember that a lot of these games just aren't available anymore and so remakes are a good way to get people interested in video game history. As long as they continue to make new games, too I've nothing against these remakes.
@patrickklepek: I finally decided to play Majora's Mask, after all, Ocarina of Time is one of my favorite games, and I don't know how I managed to avoid it's direct sequel for all this time. However, because I'm somewhat of a purest, I dusted off my original N64, ordered a gold-cartridge edition on ebay, the N64 expansion pack, even an old-ass Prima perfect guide. I even looked at a new controller, as mine are pretty worn-out- do you realize n64 controllers with working analog sticks sell for $100+ on ebay? Insane. Luckily they make new 3rd party controllers, which are almost as good. The question is- will it be worth it? I certainly hope so. We'll see in a week or so.
