As an mlg map the pit is very popular with halo fans. The map has a symetrical feel to it with snipers on both ends and rockets and active camo in the middle. One of the best things about The Pit is that it is viable for almost any game mode. In matchmaking on this map, you will be playing gametypes such as One Bomb, 2 Flag, and Team Slayer. The variant of The Pit seen in matchmaking is most often "Pit Stop," which is The Pit with the top attic portions blocked off. Bungie decided to implement this version of the map when attic camping became too widespread.
