In The Sexy Brutale, players repeatedly reset the game's clock in order to prevent a series of murders from taking place at a mysterious casino gala. Sort of like Clue mixed with Groundhog's Day.
The same 12 hours repeat as the player tries to save each guest from the casino-manor's murderous staff. The player can't be in the same room as someone else without expiring, so he must spy on the guests & staff through keyholes and rearrange things from the shadows so the guests survive. Each guest rescued bestows a new power to the player that will help him access more areas of the manor.
The game relies heavily on audio cues, with about half the murders punctuated by sound effect heard across the manor, like a gunshot, a ringing bell, or the lights dimming for a moment.
