This is the first time a game that I've actually not wanted to play a game that I'm excited for. On one hand, I really want to see how everything wraps up, but on the other, I am so god dam scared that I'm going to screw something up and someone's going to die. Anybody else have the same feeling or am I crazy?

Nope, I'm just looking forward to playing it. It's usually really depressing to play, but I wanna see how this thing ends. Evidently ending a game is a hard thing to do :o

I'm dreading it because after those credits roll, that's it. No more The Walking Dead until season 2, and who knows how long that'll be?

Isn't this TaleTells best selling game they've ever made? I would assume they are already working on the second seasons script.

I'd also like to point out that this didn't have to be the end of The Walking Dead for you. Have you read the comic? It's fantastic. Way better than the TV show and it has the same narrative style this game does.

@Landon: I believe it is, but who knows how long they would take to work on it? I think it would take them a good quarter to figure out how to outline the story, do voice acting, animate, etc.

Also, I think you and I could both agree that even though the comics and the show are superb, there's no substitute to making the decisions and choosing the responses yourself in the games.

Yep. Dreading the fact that bad shit is about to go down, and also because this awesome series is about to conclude.

Not dreading it, particularly. I've already mentally prepared myself for Lee--and a good part of my Clem Rescue Team--to die horribly. But if Clementine herself doesn't make it...

You have no idea. Have not played any of them yet, and me and my roommate are going to marathon the whole thing in one sitting. Can't even imagine the state we'll be in when it's all over.

i'm really looking forward to it, and i hope they have the stones to do the right thing- make it brutal, emotionally difficult, and substantial. i'm totally alright to see anyone die (EXCEPT CLEM)- and frankly i think some should. i also hope next season focuses on an entirely new cast.

edit: actually, i had a quick think, but i've decided it WOULD be okay if they take out clem. if only because it will really demonstrate tell tale's not afraid to write a very mature, realist, and ultimately depressing story- and that would signify a real achievement in videogame storytelling. death scenes are terribly sad, but they're sometimes truly beautiful. but that doesn't mean i'd enjoy it- might have to look into some antidepressants should that come to pass...

Why I think it is such an easy decision. How I've played the game since ep. 1 is Clem is my number 1 priority and fuck everything and everyone else, Lee included.

I'm totally dreading it, but not for the same exact reason as the OP. I know that no matter what, some fucked up things are going to happen in this episode. Ever since

I've realized that sometimes in this series, it doesn't matter how hard I try or nice I am, people will die.

That said, I really really hope that Kenny dies in this episode, I've been trying to get him killed since episode 1.

no. once i saw that bite i resigned to the fact that i'm done for. but by god, i'm gonna do whatever i can to make sure clem's alright before that happens.

The deal for this game was inked in early 2011, and we saw the first episode roll out in April 2012, about a year later. Assuming they have a similar development process for season 2, and assuming they get underway with it soonish, I would pencil it in to start releasing about this time next year...at the latest.
