So, I just installed this game, and when it does Steam's first launch sequence, it starts extracting the files. After it appears it has done that, it says, "The Witcher 2 Launcher Application has stopped working."

Does anyone know what the problem may be? I've checked on Can You Run It? and it says I can run it at recommended settings.

Have you tried verifying the files? Then if that doesn't work, try running steam and the game as administrator.
