Overview
Tim Langdell, founder of the publisher EDGE Games, is perhaps better known for his notoriously litigious behavior. The core of his primary claim being that his ownership of the trademark for "Edge" should legally prevent the word from appearing in any context in a video game's title. Most notably, this sparked a legal battle with the makers of the game EDGE. Langdell's behavior also attracted the attention of Electronic Arts, who during this ongoing saga released the game Mirror's Edge.
On April 17th, 2013, Langdell's claim of ownership of the term Edge was cancelled by a California judge, thus preventing him from pursuing any further litigation.
