    Tom Sloper is a game development consultant and ex-game designer who runs his own website, Sloperoma, with has a section dedicated to game design information and advice for new games design 'wannabes' wanting to break into the video game industry. He has also published a series of books and articles online related to the games industry.

    Tom Sloper entered into the games design industry in California by designing LCD watch and calculator games. He has worked for big name companies such as Sega, Rudell Design, Atari, Activision and Yahoo, but he is best known for his work on the Shanghai series of games for Activision.

    As well as providing in-depth FAQ's and advice to those wanting information about games design and the industry itself, Tom Sloper is also an active contributor to the International Game Developers Association (IGDA) website and writes his own advice column for 'wannabes and newbies' called 'The Games Game'.
