It's not bad neither is it good

    LITTLE STORY

I bought this game few days ago for a little as 5 pounds, I'm a big fan of Tony Hawk games so it was a great bargain to my collection, I didn't expect much from it simply because it wasn't made by NEVERSOFT so i knew it just wouldn't have that something! i also wasn't expecting the MOTION to work well but it works relatively nice.

    GAMEPLAY

Gameplay is okay it takes an hour to learn the motion controls, but as soon as you learn the basics it's becomes okay to play. Tilting is okays it's kinda hard to do spins but it's okay. You got a choice between Snowboard or Skateboard both feel well as soon as you get use to the controls skateboarding feels a bit better if you like the THPS engine. Few nitpicks i have are:

-When you change the controls from motion to classic with motion you lose the ability to do backflips on a snowboard, and the change doesn't affect snowboards (but that doesn't bother me)

There is no 360 flip (my favorite trick to do in Tony Hawk games or any Sk8 game)

-Grinding on a snowboard can be a pain, you might think you're gonna land on a grind but the game says so f u!

    GRAPHICS

Well it's DS so 3d is isn't it's strength but it's looks okay nothing ground breaking, especially after playing sonic rush adv.

    STORY

Well there is no story but you get a variety of game modes to set high-scores which i personally like i like to come back and beat my score and also the game with it's motion would probably be a pain in a** for doing normal THPS challenges. There are only 4 levels (2 skate and 2 snowboarding) sound like nothing but each level has standard full level + grinding challenge level + and downhill score point level.

    The games has 6 modes:

    -Free Skate

-Single Session (2 minutes to score points)

-Hawkman mode (collect green balls avoid red balls)

-Slalom (Snowboard exclusive) (Go through gates)

-Grind challenge (Grind a long line without falling)

-Super pipe (Snowboard) (Go down and score points)

-Crash course (Skate) (Go down hill through an obstacle course and score points)

-Big Air Vert (Skate) (Few attempts in half pipe to score points)

    SOUND

Music is simple stock music nothing that would melt your brain. Sound effects are THPS2 sound effects I can't put my finger on it but they sound very much alike.

    VERDICT

Well i bought this game for a 5er so i'm not complaining but if i bought it day it was out for 40? i would be disappointed but for what i got it, it's a great piece to my collection. The gameplay takes time it's not perfect but it's an enjoyable expirence if you only want it be.

    +PLUS

Along with the Tony Hawk game came along a game called HUE pixel painter which is something I've haven't encounter before, You are a ghost thingy in black and white world and you have to double jump on a colorful cracks and connects the paint spots that come out to create color and buildings, this is a very nice game and it uses the motion to control the ghost, it's very nice, except the framerate is eee it's not as smooth as the tony hawk game it's not game breaking but it's noticeable

    VERDICT 2!!!

If you don't like the skateboarding or snowboarding concept of the motion the Hue pixel painter it very interesting and worth a while as long as you find it cheap, you don't wanna over pay for this, in the end it's good!
