Stadium is the latest and second environment of the TrackMania² franchise. It was announced in November of 2012 along side TrackMania² Valley. It was announced has being a Free to Play environment, and while a tiered free and paid system was only available during beta. Both setting and cars for Stadium are based on previous "Nations" incarnations of older Trackmania games, both visually and gameplay wise. The Nations motif continues to be present with the ability to choose default paint jobs representing various world nations.
The game is entered a public beta in February 2013, being released in June of the same year. Customers who bought the game during beta received 5,000 Planets, official times on 15 solo tracks and play without limitation and assurance of all updates in the future.
