Overview
Tsuppari Oozumou: Heisei Han, or "Shove Sumo: Heisei Edition", is a sumo wrestling game released exclusively for the PC Engine that is a graphically-enhanced version of the original Famicom Tsuppari Oozumou. The Heisei in the title refers to the period of Japanese history that began in 1989 - two years after the original game, which was released during the Showa era. A number of games, movies and other media used "Heisei" during this time to emphasize their newness.
Tsuppari Oozumou would see one more enhanced remake/sequel, this time for the Super Famicom: 1993's Tsuppari Oozumou: Risshin Shusse-Hen.
