Will an american copy of U2:AT work on a EU PS3?
And will the multiplayer work? Will i be playing american or european servers?
Will i be able to play with a friend who own the EU retail version?

as far as i know, All PS3's are region-free (games wise atleast), so it should work.

DLC will only work on the correct region version. 
US purchased DLC will not work with EU game and vice versa.
