It's kind of impossible to talk about Undertale without acknowledging what it does differently; there isn't a game out there that has a battle system quite like this one. Unless you "play the game wrong," it plays almost like a visual novel by selecting actions and seeing how the monster responds before smash cutting to inventive bullet hell-like segments. Unbelievably lovely 1
So... I just got to the very end of this game and, Wow. I just had to give my wholehearted recommendation as soon as I can, because, I mean, wow.I had pretty high expectations going into this game. I loved the creativity and the story of this game, but that was about it.I had intended to go pacifist and I did only kill one monster in my entire playthrough, unfortunately that was the first encounter, probably the worst monster to kill; before I became familiar with the game mechanics.I really hated the playing part of this game, massive difficulty spikes combined with not knowing what you were doing in boss fights was a real drag.Keyboard controls were annoying for this game, I used to use ...

A Brief Criticism of Undertale 0
I might be in the minority of folks that actively dislikes this game.I don't understand the affection for this one. Maybe someone like me in their 30's just doesn't get it. The music is pretty good, but it's not award-winning in my opinion. There are some clever jokes and moments in the game. I've always had kind kind of a love-hate relationship with RPGSThis is not because i dislike them, but because so many of them just don't care about the things i really love about them. In the current climate of socially intertwined personalities , people tend to have the propensity to judge games based on the influence of agenda infused "merit".Undertale is the de facto example of deluded opinion. One of the biggest blockbuster indie games of 2015. This game was so big it made a big fanbase to go along with it. Here is my review. The gameplay was very heartfelt and was put much time into.
