I don't care for the art style, but kicking unconscious guys on beaches is good for a laugh. Not sure if I'm just getting spoiled by HD console games, but man... DS graphics are getting uglier by the minute.

I like the artstyle. Never heard of this series before, but this video does make Me want it. Gonna check out the difficulty first though, I hate hard turn based RPGs on a handheld, thats why I only pplayed a few hours into DragonQuest.: Hand Of The Heavenly Bride.

That trailer looked like one massive Golden Sun: Lost Age rip-off lol. I don't know if I've played too many rpgs but that beach scene and the ship scene played out EXACTLY as it did in lost age. Anyone else or just me?

@ShadowMountain: I was going to say that too, the ship music was really similar to the one from the Golden Sun when there aren't any monsters around.  Maybe people from the Golden Sun games helped make it or something :D

Reminded me a lot of Golden Sun. As mentioned by ShadowMountain, the Kraken attack was extremely familiar.

Seems fun, if a bit generic. And please, you are required to ride a boat to your destination and it gets attacked by a giant octupus? Really? 
 
It seems like more of a requirement to justify the boat trip than anything. Happens in so many games..

Because it's a good game?  Why would you bring a game to the states?  To punish yourself?
 
I'm digging the look and feel of this game.  That says nothing of the story since I know little about it, but this looks like a pretty solid RPG.

Looks like an interesting setting with some pretty cool battle animations.  Will wait until the reviews start coming out, but it looks pretty solid.

The music sounds like something from a Dragon Quest game.  Still, I loved DQ5 a whole lot for its charm and exploration.  I'm not so sure about this one.  I have certain expectations for my DS RPGs and I am not sure this is meeting them.  Well, while I won't pass judgment just yet, on the surface this appears to be a very traditional JRPG, heavily influenced by DQ & FF.

This trailer looks as golden sun as it can get. I just hope the settings and whatnot holds up.

And should not have been a Kraken (thats not GREEK), shoulda been Scylla or some such. 
 
Non-Greek...goes well with the AMERICAN FRONTIER-THEMED TOWN they're in.
