As someone who hasn't played tribes, I think it looks pretty awesome. 
Looks like a mixture between UT2004 and Halo 3.

Looks good. And no, this is not Halo. UT is a much better comparison, but with anti-grav boots and jet backs.

Tribes came before Halo. Halo was even inspired by Tribes. Halo doesn't have skiing which no other game has, and is what makes Tribes Tribes.

I remember how in the original Tribes, so few people had good internet connections that jetpacking over the whole map might as well've been godmode. Looking at the first two games though, man were they eyesores. Here's to hoping this one can bring back that flying magic!

Every time someone refers to Tribes as "like Halo" I die a little inside. Tribes and Tribes 2 were such great multiplayer experiences that were ahead of their time. I think we've finally caught up to that time, however.

Looks better than I thought it would. I was expecting Section 8 graphics but these seem better.
I would get this if it comes out on PSN or XBLA.

Since it's free to play, I'll definitely give it a shot.  Looks like it could be cool.

I'm pretty sure there were two Tribes games before the first Halo was released, so... yeah...

Guys. Halo looks like Tribes, not the other way around.

I would have thought that was Halo in low gravity mode if there was no title. Not a bad thing. I like Halo.

Not a big multiplayer or PC guy but I played some of Tribes 2 back in the day. I remember it being fun because Jetpacks.

Reminds me of halo, although tribes was out long before halo.

about 2 weeks ago i would have been excited by this but no XBLA version sort of rules me out unless they include a laptop graphics mode.

looks very cool. i think a lot of people don't seem to notice the flow and speed that you can get as a player in the video. the art style is also fresh. i like me some vibrant COLORS.

only thing that's buggin' me right now: i know how shitty it is to shoot at enemies in the air AND to get shot in the air where you cannot move.

Free Halo, if it's still shooting little plastic toy story figures, i'm out
