the music in the answer was good! The animation was really good, and japanese folk really like arena so feel free to check out the animation.

I'd actually think I'd put money that it's Sam Riegel, not Yuri Lowenthal doing Teddie.

I actually think it sounds like Sam Riegel, who was in Persona 4 as some minor characters (I think it was Saki's brother). And it sounds like he's trying to copy the original performance, which rarely works out. Hope they do a better job with Chie, let alone any recasts needed for the Vita remake. It'd be a shame if an inferior dub muddies that version's status as the best version.

@Animasta: I checked out some episodes, I tough they were really bad and the director doesn't give me confidence (I disliked Angel Beats!) and the fact they wanted to show all the social links was also a deal breaker (I want to replay the game and check out the ones that I miss)

which ones? the first couple weren't great but it does pick up by Yukiko's shadow.

Teddie is weird. It's an okay impression, but it feels pretty uncanny. Did Rise's voice change too? It's a lot more plesant to listen to than I recall. Maybe it's just the new recording.

The controls look really simply with only 4 buttons, though I wish you pulled of supers in the Skullgirls way of just pressing say 2 punch buttons in stead of one when performing a hadoken.

Me playing on Very Easy to get the story and hoping the final boss isn't cheap as it looks.

There's some interesting systems in this game. iplaywinner and shoryuken have a bunch of footage of Japanese pros playing if anyone's interested in seeing this game looks at a high level.

I'm guessing they didn't get the actual voice actors in this early to record lines for the trailer, you guys. No need to freak out yet. But if that's Teddie's final voice.... ouch. They have a Japanese voice option, right? Rise seemed fine.

@edeo: I speak Japanese and after going through the recent Persona 4 anime, I'm now comfortable with those voices which are all in the Japanese version, whereas not all of the English voice cast is back for this one.

I'd rather have Atlas putting out a sequel to Persona 4 (maybe something weird happening a year later) with the same characters or another game similar in mechanics to P4 but with new characters. For Atlus to put out a pure fighting game in any franchise just seems strange to me & not the best style of game for them to go.

@Crushed: Charlie looks like a serial killer with that minimal movement in his character portrait, the voice doesn't help.

11 seconds in, and I hear "WELCOME TO PERSONA 4 ARENA" in the most obnoxious, squeaky, bad anime voice ever.

At 12 seconds, I turned the video off.

Hopefully the tank is a secret character...

Why is Teddie's voice annoying as hell in this trailer? I get that you couldn't get the same voice actor but it's not even close. I wonder if they will get Troy Baker to do Kanji or is he too big time for that now

They gotta get the original Teddie VA back.

I do not like the art. Something seems weird about their proportions compared to what they looked like in the original games. Not a fan.
