They really need to work on their skin shaders. I'm kind of surprised they showed so many player close ups considering they don't look especially great. The few shots of actual gameplay looked a lot better.

I don't even care for nor like basketball outside of NBA Jam or Street, but the folks working on NBA 2K14 look like they've put in far more soul and care into their game than this. Simulation-styled basketball games just ain't your thing, EA. GG.

Give it up EA, 2K have basketball, Sony have Baseball but you still have football and American football despite the latter being pretty much junk for years now. The characters just look cartoon-y in comparison to 2K14. Maybe EA could make a BASEketball game, I'd be pretty into that.

Nash looks like a slowed down version of Nick Cage.

Took the words right out of my mouth. They're also still obsessed with dunks, which was something that was symptomatic of the downfall of Live - a diminishing sense of authenticity when compared to NBA 2k.

I think Live and 2K are about on par as far as dead eyes technology is concerned.

2k14 seems to be beating Live with the Sweat effects and the facial hair effects there using IMO, but either way both games look impressive.

Oh my god, look at the way defenders move. Bynum Christ, this looks terrible.

It doesn't have to look next-gen, it just doesn't have to look like a game from 2000 like NBA2K14 did on the PC. And it's the gameplay I'm concerned about, didn't like how 2K14 played at all.

The thing that set nba 2k apart from live was the fact that you could play defense, box out, etc. The fact they focus on "dribbling" (like that is the most important part of team basketball) has me thinking this will be some arcade-y nonsense again. Hope i'm wrong, because 2k14 is terrible and without competition i think it's all down hill from here.

Looks like a release title for the 360/ps3 instead of PS4. 2K14 looks significantly better.

Compared to 2K14, this game looks like it was on PS2. Like...holy shit, this looks like a half-assed job all the way around. Even the animations look bad.

I can't believe how much better 2K14 looks.

The only thing that interests me in this one is the ultimate team mode. If they can pull that off right, I can see why someone might choose this over 2K.
