Another Splinter Cell: Blacklist Trailer Exists

Man, we talking bout Blacklist.

I got a free game code for this when I built my new rig...hopefully this'll be good.

I really want this game to be good because it was developed in Toronto.

I'm not one to boycott stuff for petty things, but holy Arceus in heaven, this game just doesn't seem the same without Michael Ironside.

Holy shit that voice is absolutely terrible.

I don't know how to put it, but there is no way I can take that voice seriously.

He sounds like someone's kid brother trying to be tough.

Why would I buy this when Divekick comes out on the same day?

While I am bummed that Mr. Ironside will not be reprising his role as Sam Fisher, the game looks like it could be decent. I am probably one of the 3 people who actually liked Conviction.

That voice is pretty bad yes, but I won't let a single voice actor effect my experience with the game. Still pretty excited for this.

Putting aside the fact that it wasn't iron side that bit of voice treatment was terrible... it screamed " I'M ACTING" dude needs to try and be more natural...... it's just too forced. game looks good outside of that though... if you're down for a new splinter cell that is...

Man, that voice is ROUGH. At least Kiefer sounded natural in that little bit of MGSV footage. That just sounded forced. Hope the main game sounds better, because if not, there's no way I'm going to be able to focus properly during cutscenes.

Wow, I wasn't sold on this before, but that was parody level bad. Kiefer will still be a jarring change but it seems like he'll be well above average, this guy I can't take seriously at all.

The guy just sounds waaaay too young to be Sam Fisher. I would have much preferred they either used Ironside or alternately let Sam Fisher retire and start fresh with a new character. This is just...jarring.

There's supposed to be an entire agency of them, not just Sam. This ain't no Batman.

Sigh....it's just not the same without Ironside. I'll get the game eventually, but man did they pick a terrible replacement for Sam.

The voice just sounds so generic now. I like the fluidity they added in Conviction, so if they add to those mechanics it might be worthwhile. Cautiously optimistic, if still bummed about the lack of Ironside.

I don't know, I kind of have some hype for this game. I thought Conviction went a little too action movie. If they could blend that style better with what made Splinter Cell great in the first place it could be kind of cool. I think it has become a bit hipster douche to rag on this game just to rag on it. With the exception being the new dudes voice. I understand Ironside just sounds like he's waking from a drunken stupor to grumble the next line but, man this dude. His voice just doesn't scream grizzled veteran who has "seen things".

edit- As an aside, I was kind of put off by the original voice acting as I did not think Ironside portrayed the character Sam Fisher very well that was clearly a rip of (john Kelly/John Clark) from Clancy's books. Now I have watched this twice and that voice, ouch....

Whenever I see anything about Splinter Cell, I remember this classic bit from Idle Thumbs about Splinter Cell: Conviction.

Snore. Another stealth series turned into an action/third person shooter. RIP Splinter Cell.

Ubisoft spent all their extra time making more trailers while they keep pushing back the release date of the game. The new Sam Fisher voice does not sound very good.

As for Allen Iverson, he's becoming the ghost of the NBA Christmas future. He represents what happens to NBA player who don't care of their money. He told his ex-wife that he is so broke that he can't afford a cheeseburger. Allen can't accept that his basketball career is over and still hopes a team will give him another chance. It's sad considering that his cultural impact on the league is present among the young players. The shooting arm sleeve, cornrows, headbands, and tattoos.

Is it me, or does he look different? Not that matters it's just there isnt really much to say besides "painfully generic" and "bad voice acting" they should have just rebooted the franchise and turned it into The Devision stealth edition or something.

Looks like Cancer: The Video Game. I am a huge fan of the pre-Chaos Theory SCs but really, between the Modern Warfare-esque visuals and sountrack, the awful voice-acting, the IGN endorsements and the Gamestop pre-order bonus garbage, I think I'll pass.

Why can't they just bring back Hobo Fisher?
