looking at games that are coming out at the same time such as MW 2, Forza 3 and Brutal Legend the graphics do not look great. "

when did Scott Ian start making video games and why are the devs in a church talking about a video game about an assassin in italy? what in sam hill is going on?

i can imagine those pickpockets and messengers getting really annoying really quickly.

 While I can not critique a game that hasn't been released yet, I have doubts about this game based on the direction the marketing department at Ubi. 
 
Everyone knows the first installment of this series was repetitive.  The developers acknowledge this.  But it seems like their focus at least from a marketing standpoint has been, "We programed 15 different mission types this time instead of 3."
 
Kudos to Ubi for having upped their game in this area, but the variety of mission types was not the only area that could have used some extra work.   Specifically, I think that the artificial intelligence of the NPCs could use some work.  I also think Desmond's story could be weaved more into the assassin's so that you care more about him as a character.  With AC1 I just felt that I was playing to finish missions rather than playing because I knew I would learn more about the story if I played more.

Lets just hope the missions don't get too repetitive like the first game.

Here we go again, gonna be broke for the holidays.

I wonder if there is an in-game model of Leonardo Da Vinci in AC2.

i'm not sure at this point... i mean ive been hyped about this and bioshock 2 just as long as everyone else. Im sitting here now having second thoughts and need to express them, excuse the rant... 
 
i mean what if there just isn't a valid enough reason to return to rapture other then an excuse for another multi-million revenue. maybe it's going to fail in regards to how amazing the first one is...it already looks plagued with the same crappy shooting mechanics, and it's an FPS for crying out loud. the first didnt need amazing gunplay because of the story telling, can a sequel really be a better story then the one that spawned it?? it's kind of unbelievable that any other game could be THAT good, and i quite frankly dont want to play a 'spin-off' just for my rapture fix. I'd rather just keep my original love of that game world... untainted
 
and now this. i mean, i love AC, own it, but i remember how anticipated it was, i mean guys it was freaking unreal if you remember as i do, almost every 360 owner has that game, some people TWO copies cuz ol' aunt margie didn't know you had already bought it... wasn't it to be like the end-all be all of video gaming-
 the way they sold the crowd interactions as being like... real life, but after a couple plays it just seemed underwhelming in those regards.  don't get me wrong it's still great im just realizing now that i enjoy the game not for any of the reasons i thought i would: traversing an open-world with side missions and genuine interaction as well as really cool stylized kills from atop a structure... 
Yes it has all of these things, but they seem diluted i guess just by the ambition.
 
inmho there are two super- super polished aspects- the level design and the combat. That's it. That's what makes AC so enjoyable amongst other just, BLAND aspects and I'm not so sure this one will be much different. I doubt we're going to see some crazy evolution in crowd-interaction like we were so promised 3 years ago.
 
with brutal legend already pre ordered, and mafia, mass effect II, Ballad of gay tony, possibly mw2, RDR, Splinter cell or dragon age on their way i might just have to pass on the two games i NEVER EVER thought would be excluded from my holiday season. Probably my two most anticipated games ever (excluding AC1 of course and Twilight Princess, which i still havent played..), and that's what concerns me.
 
Im just gona wait to see what brad and the guys say, we'll just have to see as they say. although expecting anything less then 5 star reviews for all these games is pretty dumb of me. And with all this said I'll probably still be getting them both...(lol)
