For the longest time now I operated under the assumption that I could not play another FPS ever again, then I see something interesting and realise I'm just done with what an FPS has become. I just wish someone uses FPS as a verb instead of the whole book.

The art style looks much nicer on the HD setting of the video player. I'm somewhat interested.

I keep hearing people say "this looks creepy"...but it does not; it looks like an unfinished game from 5-6 years ago.

Mad World was at least composed as a black and white game where you could make out enemies and shapes; this looks like they threw on a filter and clamped the values to be a noisy mess.

The game is supposed to come out on the 14th of august but I cant find the game from steam.

It seems to be a bit of a bad sign when a game is supposed to come out next week and you cant find anything about it on steam.

Update: Okay seems that this is actually early access to the game.

I rather like the art style, even though it's extremely evident they use it to hide some pretty outdated graphics.

Betrayer looks potentially interesting, we need more games set in the 17th/18th century, but I'd REALLY like NOLF 3, or at least digital re-releases of the original games.

As for this trailer, the art style is unique...and annoying. I would not pay money for something where everything blends together so easily.

What is there to it beyond the art direction? It seems you run around and shoot people standing still or running straight at you? What else?

You know, some of these guys also worked on Condemned which I loved, and would argue has THE BEST first person melee combat of any game, ever. I would really like to see these guys do a game in that vein during this time period. Anyone ever see Ravenous? Oh God, just imagine.

So these developers were obviously tired of being dicked around by Warner Bros. and left Monolith to make this. Trailer is not great but I will give it a go.

Ravenous was quite good. This doesn't seem to have any similar vibe though.

Yeah. I wouldn't mind if it actually seemed designed with the whole high-contrast black and white thing in-mind ala MadWorld, but (at this point at least) it just looks like a bad ENB mod. Not appealing in the least, and actually kind of painful to look at and try to distinguish what's what.

Agreed. If they want to do the whole black and white thing, they need to actually tailor the graphics for it instead of slapping a black and white filter over. For one, they need to tone down the texture quality. It's pointless to have extremely granular and bump mapped textures if your game isn't going to have any color. Cause then you just get lots of black and white speckles and dots that makes it look overly busy as opposed to stylistic. Though I suppose bright and busy is a style. Just not one that's particularly easy on the eyes.
