HOLY SHIT! BG&E was one of my favourite PS2 games.
 
HD rel-releases might be the best thing to happen this generation. 
 
GOW, Ico, SotC, Tomb Raider and now this.

I never understood the phenomenon of this game. The ending bits totally ruined it for me.

It's the old PC version ported to the consoles. That's all it is. They're playing that amusing game where you pretend PC games haven't been HD for a long ass time. At least it's less absurd than when they released Serious Sam HD on PC...
 
Anyway, BG&E was a pretty good game, but I think a lot of console owners are going to be disappointed if they expect this to be a proper overhaul of the game.

A re-release of one of the best games from the last console generation, fuck yeah!

Never played this. I heard it was good, but does it stand up to the times? Not just the graphics, since they're upgrading those, but the gameplay. Just looking at the UI, it really looks like an older game, which obvs it is, but it seems like it might be archaic.

hey its that string cheese game! i loved that game almost as much as the cheese it came with!

Well, it IS a great game, but I guess I expected a little more than that when it comes to boosting the graphics.

Greatness.

Really looking forward to seeing this on the happy hour in a few. Maybe it's rose tinted glasses but I can't really tell much graphical difference between this and the original, and while I love BG&E to death I already have 4 copies across 3 platforms. I would only buy this because it'll help BG&E2 along.

So, it looks exaclty like the PC Version but I'll buy it anyway.

I'm interested in trying this game out. Hopefully it's as good as people say.

Have this game on PC.  Think I'll play it again now...

It doesn't look vastly HD but I'd still say everyone should buy this. Great game (with flaws of course) but it should have sold way more than it did :) Though I bought it for PC so I guess it was 'HD' all along. 
 
Anyway, the gameplay might be a bit archaic but it's well worth it for the character. I still find myself remembering the music every now and again. 'Mamago Garage' is great and 'Propaganda' is fantastic to do the racing game to. Beyond a doubt it's worth it for that sort of thing alone. Damn I'm going to have to install it again. Usually I get stalled because I obsessively want to photograph stuff and then it overwhelms me a bit :(

This IS the PC release ported back to consoles. Releasing it on PC too wouldn't make much sense as it's been there all along. "

I would like beyond good and evil 2 to be resumed. The game was fun, but not as much as to play it again just because of a higher resolution. 
 
Hopefully this will allow them to get some money for little expense so as to relaunch the franchise with a fresh new game, I mean, sequel.

bah, i still have a save on PS2 that i've never finished. Was a decent game, what i played of it.
