@GioVANNI:
When the game demo looks that good and polished it's kind of hard not to be hyped by it.  And how much time do these guys have left in development? A year, maybe more?

Not really knowing what games are going to be release next year, I think this is easily going to be one of the best games of the year.

That was more than I expected! They're really going above and beyond Bioshock in terms of everything: gameplay, characters, atmosphere. I was really impressed by the rails; Levine said he wanted the team to nail that 'wooden rollercoaster' feel and they certainly have. And to see just how different the Vox Populi are from the Founders, and to think they occupy the same world-no wonder things are so volatile in Columbia.

The only real disappointment for me is that Stephen Russell is no longer voicing Booker DeWitt. The guy doing it now is fine enough, though, but I do wonder why they switched from Russell.

All around amazing demo. The feeling I have now reminds me of when I first saw all those Half-Life 2 game play videos back around 2003 (or whenever those were released). The people at Irrational are proving once again that they know how to make exceptionally great games.

Is that Nolan North I hear..? Regardless this game looks epic, gunplay looks alittle shoddy but that's Bioshock for you.

The action might need a bit of polishing (you can tell god-mode was turned on for the demo) and if Elizabeth says "Booker!" every time something remotely threatening happens, it could be annoying...... but all in all this demo is amazing. The world of Columbia is so incredibly colourful and dynamic - this game is worth buying for the visuals alone. I also like the message that no side in Columbia is truly good. The Founders appear to be aristocratic, sweat-shop owning jerks, while the populari appear to be nothing more than a violent, crazed, hypocritical mob (like most revolutionaries have been throughout time).

How did they make such a game... It's just too crazy. This feels like next-gen stuff.

As a shooter, I still think Battlefield 3 looks way better, but this certainly increased my interest in the game...

Things about this seem amazing, but that combat looked... not good. Hope they can clean that up because I want to l like this, but as a guy who plays a lot of shooters, poor gunplay really turns me off.

@Slaker117:  Clearly there were parts where he didn't use iron sights and such just to show off the scenery and A.I reactions. However I'm not saying the gunplay will be perfect just better than whats in the video.

Anyway, looks incredible and I cannot wait

I love the artistic direction this game takes, the lighting engine looks fabulous and Elizabeth's character model looks almost CG like. That Song Bird is definitely going to be the main antagonist throughout the game, curious how the whole story will unfold.

Which one do you want? The cover, the exploding barrel or the gun? This full demo was certainly interesting but actually it was underwhelming... I'm looking forward to the game though. <3 Elizabeth

Lovely looking trailer but found myself a little put off by the ridiculously tired FPS tropes. The combat was by far the jankiest thing in Bioshock, kinda like the Tomb Raider games where it just gets in the way of the atmosphere and exploration.

It'd have been nice if they could have made it all about exploration, role playing and puzzles perhaps.

Still, that's my FPS fatigue speaking, I'm sure I'll buy it and enjoy the hell out of it anyway.

Liz's animations didn't look very good and Booker's voice a bit off/annoying in this. Other than that, rad game.

After seeing the picture of Booker on the GameInformer cover, I can understand why they changed the voice actor (the previous one sounded like he had grey hair and a mustache, which I was totally on board with) but now I can't help thinking of how much more awesome it would be if Nathan Fillion did the voice.

that looked pretty awesome. the art style, the frantic action, the constant interaction with the girl make for some exciting gameplay. still, for some reason I can't get behind bioshock games.

This looks more like a pure shooter than the first Bioshock. I don't know if I like the way they seem to be handling plasmids and weapons (Halo-like 2 weapons carry?).

Also, ummm God-mode on for this demo or what?

Love the art style and atmosphere.  It's hard to judge how it will really play though just from watching a heavily rehearsed god-mode run like this.  That's why I was a little miffed that so many outlets gave this game of show at E3 without actually getting hands on it.

This is the new gold standard in highly scripted cinematic gameplay.

I think this demo is just one step below a speed run, though. It's neat that if you play the game perfectly it looks like this, but most of us will have a far different experience.

Looks good, altho I think that Natahan Fillian should be the main character voice and somehow Elizabeth reminds me of Olivia Wilde in Tron (except with boobs)

It has nothing to do with realism. It's called verisimilitude. It doesn't matter if it's realistic, it just matters that the storytellers make me believe it. Wholly unrealistic things can exist perfectly in fiction, but the onus is on the person telling the story to sell it.

I would call it suspension of disbelief (I don't want to argue over semantics)and if a game/movie whatever can't sustain that it's jarring, but still I don't think that's apt here
