he's easily i think the most cynical/jaded one out of the staff, dude needs to play different genres of games or seek out the different games... people give patrick shit, but at least hes branching out and seeking out different genres to keep his views healthy. and isnt as dismissive as brad.

Got to give Brad credit. He said if the website didn't launch on time, that he would make the next Bradley May Cry free for all the members. Good for him. And good job with the video player update.

Man, Vinny, I'm so with you on those beach flies. In my experience you're more likely to encounter them at bay beaches, on hot days, and especially when the wind is stagnant. Under a microscope their mouths look like a mess of vibrating, rusty bayonets, and just one of their bites hurts a surprising amount, can bleed/easily get infected/etc... I'd take a tent mosquito over them any day, and that's saying something...

And then there are those times where there are SWARMS of them. I know I'm probably a little neurotic about it but as a kid my family would just sit there for 8 hours because that was vacation. Maybe they're a Long Island thing?

I'm still digging this. Nice trip through memory lane with some excellent non-DMC commentary.

Keep the spoilers coming. Somebody needs to destroy the stupid assumption that a) only things that they have seen are fair game for discussion and b) that being told what happens in a story immediately ruins the story (spoilers: Hamlet dies at the end).

Brad complains about this game a lot - it's like it can never be his fault if he dies or screws up, it has to be some problem with the game. I have some friends like that.

I feel like if either Brad or Vinny weren't in the profession that they are currently in, they would be as worried as everyone else is about spoilers.

I really dislike that type of camera and really like how its handeled in the new DmC.

I'm generally getting annoyed with his attitude lately, he seems to be getting more and more arrogant and single-minded about his opinions, which makes his 'sleepy disinterest' shtick when other people are talking in some videos/podcasts to be even more irritating.

Not a fan of the video being cut off at the sides...rather just have the small portrait boxes (if that) over layed along the bottom.

Seriously, don't. I hate it when people can't discuss interesting stuff because somebody, somewhere, hasn't played a ten year old game or seen a twenty year old movie.

Brad was super annoying and bitchy today. I get what he was trying to say about all the sequels but dude go in with an open mind at least!

Has anyone else tried downloading this? I've tried three times and each time it will download 2 gigs (out of 2.7) then just register as finished. Sorry if this isn't the place to ask questions about something like this.

@freshbandito: of course you can imagine it - it was crazy. Loads of people, including me, just yelling PUNCH THE FIRE DOOR over and over. I'm so glad Vinny's there.

I really admired the texture work and the level design of this game back then when I played it and damn, it still looks gorgeous (with respect to its age, of course).

Wow, just wow. Didn't brad just review the new dmc. Watching him play. I almost felt sorry for him. This is the original devil may cry, on normal. Its so easy.

I Love that Brad totally forgot to collect his blue orb after he died. It's like he's never played a video game before.

Considering how good Brad seems to be at this, I kinda understand why he liked DmC so much - that game is easy enough even on the harder difficulties and has so many overpowered moves and weapons that it's kind easy to feel a complete badass if you don't have much experience with the previous games or even games in this style. I mean, I'm ripping through DmC on Nephilim and Son of Sparda and I completely sucked at the previous games, to the point where I found Normal in DMC3 to be really challenging.

I'm pretty sure he's talking about the film "The Crying Game" with Stephen Rea. It's pretty infamous and despite being good, it's pretty much only remembered due to a very specific plot point. There's even a trope on TV Tropes titled specifically after it - "All There Is To Know About The Crying Game".

I'm glad to see Brad is having some trouble with the game and dying a good amount. After hearing that you don't really die in the new DmC I was really worried that people would get the wrong idea about other games in the franchise. They are challenging games. I'm disappointed the series has moved in a direction that doesn't interest me.

Have people not been telling Brad about the secret missions? People mentioned them during the first stream, but he's made no attempt to do/find any of them.

Watching Brad refuse to just humour Vinny and punch the brazier on the side of the door started to give me a panic attack or something, I just started 'sperging out. Can't imagine what twitch chat went like during that.
