Death Takes the Reins in Darksiders II

Hmm, I should play Darksiders 1.

Can't wait, loved the first game.

Oh man, so excited.

Death and War eh? Can't wait to play as Pestilence and Famine (correct?).

I actually watched the video before commenting, I'm better than all of you.

The design of "Death" is soooo cheesy. I'm sorry, but he looks like a less awesome version of the skull on the Misfits albums.

This reminds me of the ending in Darksiders 1 again.

Not going to spoil it, but it is the epitome of badass.

Now bring it on, I have to juggle a couple of demons.

Literally bought the first one at Costco today, new for $20, so I'm very excited about this sequel. This franchise is a breath of fresh air for PS3/360 players who have been waiting for a Zelda type experience delivered right.

So you play as Death in Darksiders II? That's kind of cool.

I think he could be the main bad guy though based on this trailer as well.

One of my most anticipated games, absolutely loved the first one.

for a split-second I thought I read darkstalkers and got super excited.

Can't wait for this. Darksiders is my pick for most underrrated game of this generation of consoles. Just glad there's going to be a sequel as it didn't seem like the first one was that big a hit. Here's hoping the second is as good if not better and gets the attention it deserves.

I hope they make a shitton of money and continue to make games, because they want to do a 4-player co-op with this franchise and that would be totally crazy and hopefully a lot of fun.

Yo, color me hyped. I thought Darksiders did Zelda better than Zelda does Zelda and I love me some Zelda. And Darksiders II is gonna have loot. Shit, do I love loot.

First game was great, this prequel should be good- but DAMNIT I WANTED RESOLUTION TO END OF THE FIRST

Q4 2012, damn it. Oh well, at least I've got some time to play through the first game again... apocalyptic could be interesting.

Well, it's only $20 on steam (and you'll probably find it on sale either this season or over the summer). Even at $20 it's a pretty great deal though. The Legend of Zelda comparisons that people make with this game are well placed. It's a pretty strong hack-and-slash / adventure. I had a blast playing through the game, personally.

Darksiders 1 is better than Skyward Sword IMO. Zelda: LttP was the first videogame I really ever got into, and I'm sorry, but Darksiders 1 is more of a Zelda game than SS is.

DS2 is concurrent with DS1...I'm not sure where you got the prequel thing from.

Yeah, I just finished Skyward Sword yesterday and I agree. The biggest problems I had with SS was the constant handholding and that annoying robot spirit pointing out the solution to every single puzzle.

I thought Darksiders was passable but wasn't as good as even the worst Zelda games. It's got some good ideas but messed up controls and bad combat...and a lot of screwed up things. I dunno. I'll look into the sequel maybe.

After how good the first one was, and how they have some really good potential for story in the Darksiders world, I can't wait for this one. I just hope it focuses a lot on what Darksiders 1 built on.

messed up combat? darksiders had better combat than god of war.

To each their own, I guess. I kinda hated every minute of the combat after the first hour or two, and the boss battles were cheap and frustrating. The broken controls kind of made that worse...
