Deep Down Now Suddenly Channeling Assassin's Creed

Hmmm, less interested with this sci fi shit thrown in.

It looks cool enough (moreso on mute) but that Demons' Souls formula is pretty easy to break.

This trailer has all but convinced me that they've already failed on the atmosphere front.

Capcom is terrible now, so no hope for this. They use to be the Publisher I bought the most game for. This past gen maybe 3 total... And that's because they try to take Japanese dev's and make a game that appeals to Americans... = Fail.

Geezus why was the camera so insanely zoomed in like it was about to disappear up the player characters arse. Silly capcom if your UI sucks then just turn it off.

Man Capcom games have the WORST trailers. I thought the Castlevania one was bad enough, but this just sets the bar even lower.

This got me interested again after the TURRIBUL last trailer. Also I need that song.

As much crud as this trailer was I'm still interested in this game.

It probably won't be a seamless transition between your game and joining a friends etc. So all the maps generated will be unique to whoever is hosting the match. They may even just have a seperate mode for co-op where the world generated there is separate from the single player universe, either way it's possible.

I still say the Assassins Creed games would be MUCH MUCH better if they abandoned the whole future memory machine nonsense and just had you playing as the assassin in the assassins timeline.

I thought this was supposed to be like .hack where it's actually a game people in the future are playing. Or something.

But, they ARE making another Dragons Dogma, so no worries there. It just they are making another game...this...too. The weird part, that I will have to see to grasp, is how the game's maps are procedurally generated and monsters are randomized, and online co-op with up to three friends is possible. It soudns liek a game where my fiends in my game makes something different than I going into their game. Randomized dungeons & monsters, with graphics that nice would be revelatory.

Horrible trailer, but game looks interesting.

Now Im not digging it at all ... :( bummer , I wanted a studio to take a jab at the Soul´s formula , but this futury AC stuff and upbeat music kills it. Now the games needs to be really really good for me to get it. We´ll see.

I figured they had tried to pull a killzone with that first "demo". Looks ok graphically though, not as good as a pc game on high but still pretty good. The real bummer is the assassins creed knockoff theme, i was hoping this was just going to be dragons dogma 2, i really loved the combat in that game even if the rest of it was terrible.

Strip away all the other scenes, leave the knight and the dragon and you almost have an exact copy of the Deamon's Souls intro movie.

I'm still excited about this one. Old Timey parts looked enough like From's Souls games that I'm still stoked. I also liked Dragons Dogma, so they are starting from a net positive in my book. Crappy trailer though.

Because... Dark souls and Demons souls are both made by From Software, which is a Japanese company.. and Japan is in Asia, last time I checked.. so..yeah.

Although in any case, yes this seems like tapping into that market, I suppose you could say it seems similar to Dragon's Dogma too actually... but in any case that's also kinda reminiscent of the "DS" franchise.

That said i highly doubt it will be as good and whoever directed that trailer should be fired.

@dvorak: Nah, AC is more accurate those are video games in their respective universes and the multiplayer in Assassin's Creed Brotherhood was justified as it was just a training simulation for Templar agents which while we still aren't sure looks more accurate since the trailer shows big laboratories not some kid pulling out his VR headset.

Gah, that title makes it sound ominous.

Hope this game still turns out great.

@__pb__: It's basically Assassins Creed, you get objects and touch them and are transported into memories associated with the object, kind of like the animus.

I can see this Animus-like conceit working as an online lobbying system, so in terms of masking mechanics with narrative justification, this works for me. That, and those hot techno jams.

hmm, online only, this might mitigate some of the factors related to their on disc DLC nonsense

I just assume any game with the Capcom logo will have horrible voice acting and/or terrible convoluted/hammy/self-serious anime-style dialog. If this was an online dungeon crawling game with the combat of Dragon's Dogma, I'd be up for it.

It's kind of disappointing to see them just rip off another series like this. I mean it looks so much like a Souls game... but I'll still keep an eye on it.

So if its online then it would seem more like Sword Art Online, or .hack, not AC.

I know everyone is saying assassin's creed, but the first thing that came to mind is .hack only instead of it being an mmo the public plays it's an evil corporation or some such thing. The music also really reminds of of the .hack anime. Which is a good thing. That show had amazing music.

Got a bit of a Diablo vibe - conceptually, rather than gameplay wise- using AC's memory stuff instead of portals to hell or whatever the fuck. If it is randomly generated that makes more sense.

i think the game looks amazing, they are very close to the original tech trailer (evident when hes fighting the dragon in the end)

and im down for japans take on far future assassins creed stuff.

also, i have to echo what jeff said, the graphics on these games dont really fully play until you see it in person on a tv, its an interesting problem

played the ps4 at an expo, and on a tv those games look much more sharp than what you see on the internet.

Had a big downgrade in graphics, shame.
