E3 2013: Over Seven Minutes of Watch_Dogs Gameplay

Looks like a different game altogether and would love to try out the demo version. Hope that it gives what is said in the trailers by Sony.

@rocospi: Yep, there's no way you'll find someone to help you out randomly that will actually be of use. Actually calling up someone you know won't be fast enough unless they're just sitting there waiting either.

It just looks like another gimmick wagon like motion controls that everyone is hopping onto until we forget about it and move on to some other new silly technology.

@darson: Serious question: why? It doesn't seem to have any bearing on the gameplay unless you want it to. With the right ideas, it could make for some really neat immersion away from your console.

So Chicago then. Interesting choice, hope this game comes through.

They probably changed the name of the districts for legal reasons. The city probably won't be called "Chicago" in the game either.

Man I wish this game was not so action based as it seems to be going... I was all in at first... I think I'm out now. :( Sad day for me. Oh but daaaaaaaaamn it looks nice.

Now that you mention it, it does remind me of Drive in the beginning. All we are missing now is Ryan Gosling.

And just think, at least this is still handicapped because they also are developing it for current-gen systems. Just wait until next-gen exclusives are being made and people really coax the most power out of the hardware.

This and The Division look so good I almost have trouble believing they're real. It's not just the graphics, the production values on these games are through the roof.

Man, It really is a bad Idea to Ride a bike and use your phone, you'd think somebody this technically adept would have Google Glass or something at least.

I can crash the power grid to a major US city at the push of a button. That's a bit cooler than just screwing with CCTV or the subway system. .Wouldn't that basically book you a one way trip to GITMO or ADX Florence if the cops actually got a hold of you? Kevin Mitnick did almost five years in solitary just for just accessing computer systems, let alone actual cyberattacks.

It's really damn cool to see actual environment manipulation in an open-world game like this. Other games like GTA or even Assassin's Creed...it's either kill everyone on screen or cower in someone's garden until the heat gets bored and leaves. Any game that rewards adaptability instead of just run-and-gun is worth my time.

I can't wait until one of those little shits on XBL beg me to help them from my mobile app. I'm going to troll the hell out of those fuckers.

I don't know, I'm not really too crazy about this game. Seems so... simple.

I'm really getting sick of all these tablet/mobile player features. First it's motion controls, now we have this.

Bets on the tablet stuff never being used for what it's supposed to do?

A friend of mine's brother is a Cook County patrolman, and he used to crew the Sherriff's Office helicopter as its infrared camera operator. So I'm getting a little extra enjoyment out of imagining him as the incompetent fucker up there with the floodlight...

Also, the subtitles say "Mad Mile"... Surely they mean "Mag Mile"? As in magnificent? I hope those aren't in-game subtitles, because that'd be kind of embarrassing.

I agree. The most interesting thing I've seen so far has been that Republique-looking segment where he's guiding T-Bone. I can do without more driving around, shooting, and open-world filler quests (like stopping muggings).

@fernanthonies: Your joking? I hope its so open world I can walk all the way to your house in the game world, and pop out of your usb slot, sit down for a cuppa. Then tell you how good open worlds are, go back into the computer, hack some lights/billboards/ATM's, save some helpless civilians, run a long hot bath and think about how much I love open world games.

I'm hoping it's not as 'open world' as these previews are making it look. I've had my fill with all of these big open world games.
