E3 2015: Your Corpses Will Save You in Super Rude Bear Resurrection

If you fight a giant golden head at the end I would not be surprised...

Visually, those backgrounds reminded me of Fenix Rage.

The dialogue from that bird thing seems like it could get really distracting.

Take every generic "hardcore" 2d platformer currently out, add a weird setting with an unusual mascot ....profit!

Not my kind of game, but this music is pretty hot.

What's the point of this blue thing constantly talking to you other than ensuring that I'll stay the fuck away from this game?

Text spam constantly being overlayed directly on top of your character seems like the worst possible addition to this type of game.

That floating thing following you and moving screen are really off-putting.

And I actually like Navi.

Rather regret putting up this trailer and it going out at E3 now, worst trailer I ever produced lol.

Some stuff about the game:

- Every time you die you leave a permanent corpse which actively alters the difficulty of the game to your skill level. It's a hardcore platformer like games I'm sure you're familiar with, but it's one that anybody can beat and complete fully regardless of their skill, but also caters to speedrunners.

- The fairy text is switchoffable and variable in size, it's mainly a good thing for spectators at events, and in a way acts as bonus content in that the better you get at a level the more you can start zoning into the dialogue occasionally.

- Often gets compared to Meat Boy although that wasn't the original intention of the game - it was the winner of Ludum Dare 28's innovation category. I just have a background in physics and so felt compelled to make the game super tight so it ended up getting compared to SMB all the time by virtue of having a nice engine. This didn't really bother me in the design process though since it's been 5 years now since SMB - I don't feel like SMB should mean no one can make tight platformers again.

@vorpal_games: That actually sounds pretty cool. I also seem to be one of the few that really enjoys the commentary as you play.

Looks Super Meat Boy like in a way I really appreciate. Looking forward to this.
